Böhm's Zeederberg is a small owner-run Country House situated in the picturesque Sabie River Valley of the Mpumalanga Drakensberg, South Africa, close to the Kruger National Park in a Malaria Free Area.
Situated 26.6 km from Sabie towards Hazyview on the R536, Böhm's lies on the border of the largest National Park in the world.
Mrs Böhm and her German speaking family have been your friendly hosts since 1975, and have been awarded a Four Star Grading by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa. The Country House is surrounded by all the major tourist attractions - 30 minutes drive to the Kruger National Park, 30 minutes drive to the Panorama Route with all the waterfalls, and 1 hour's drive to the majestic Blyde River Canyon.

Our Rooms:
Böhm's Zeederberg offers comfortable accommodation 10 rooms, all situated in the garden around the swimming pool. The rooms are individually decorated and each has a private verandah with majestic views over the Sabie River Valley.

Two rooms / units are in one garden chalet and the chalets are well spaced to give each other optimal privacy and peace. All are equipped with a mini bar fridge, telephone, coffee and tea making facilities, hairdryer, heater and air conditioner.
A honeymoon cottage offers secluded privacy, and two family units are available to accommodate a family with two children. Two units are equipped with a third bed for a child.
Rooms for a guide are also available for tour groups travelling with a guide / driver. Two units are wheelchair friendly.

All have a bathroom en suite with bath and/or shower, toilet and washbasin. No television / audio equipment in the rooms, a communal TV lounge with a satellite dish in the Main Building is available for guests enjoyment.

The Dining Room:
Our Restaurant serves home cooked Dinners prepared by Mrs Böhm, with the accent on German, French and African Fusion Country cooking combined with fresh herbs from the garden. The Dining Room is open for Dinner daily from 19h00 - 20h30, but will be closed on a Sunday evening.

Reservations will be essential, the Dining Room may be closed for the evening if the minimum amount of persons have not booked for dinner.
Enjoy a sundowner on our Cocktail Terrace in the summer, or a sherry in front of our roaring log fire in the lounge during the winter. A stylish Table d' Hote Menu is prepared by Mrs Böhm personally and changes daily.


Ingredients are seasonal farm fresh local deli and may include the following:

The Country House is situated on a hilltop 900 meters above sea level, with majestic views over the Sabie River Valley and the Sabie River below.
The farm borders the Pine- and Eucalyptus forests of Sabie, and to the other side lies the Hazyview agricultural heartland producing export quality citrus, bananas, avocadoes, mangoes and other subtropical fruits.

Böhm’s Zeederberg has its own in-house travel specialist in the form of Malachite Tours, offering qualified Tour Guides to assist you with any Tours and Transfers.
The vehicle is an air-conditioned microbus, seating up to 8 passengers with luggage. The Tour guide is fluent in English, Afrikaans and German, and is fully qualified to transport our guests.

* Panorama Tour
Be transported to the high altitudes and breathtaking views of the Mpumalanga Escarpment, where the fresh Highveld breezes collide with the hot dust storms of the Bushveld Plains.
Visit the beautiful waterfalls, each with a unique walking trail, and support the local communities with their art souvenirs sold at all the entrances of the attractions.

God’s Window and Wonder View offer a breathtaking view over 200 km of Mpumalanga Bushveld. The Bourke’s Luck Potholes takes you per footbridge high above the huge potholes carved into the ravine by the Blyde and Treur Rivers.
The Blyde River Canyon will take your breath away, being the third largest canyon in the world. The formations of the rock walls with the colourful lichen creates wonderful photographic opportunities. Approx 350 km tour. Must be booked 24 hours in advance.


* Kruger park Tour
Explore the Kruger Park with our guide, who can tell you more about the Big 5 and the Small 6! Depart after breakfast or before sunrise with a Picnic Breakfast Basket.
Full Day Tour will be 30 min before gates open, until approximately 16h00. Half Day Tour will be from 5h30 to 13h00. Approx 150 km tour for half day and 300 km full day. Must be booked 24 hours in advance.


* Moholoholo Rehabilitation Center& Swadini Dam Boat Trip Tour
Visit the Biggest Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in South Africa, where you are in close contact with many wild animals which have been injured, orphaned or poisoned.
Leopard cubs, lion, cheetah and servals are some of the big cats here, and you can feed a vulture sitting on your arm! See the big Birds of Prey, some of which are on the verge of extinction.

Your entry fee will be a contribution towards a Breeding programme that will ensure the survival of some rare species of Vultures.
Follow the interesting rock formations of the Mariepskop Mountains, and let the tour guide take you back to the Great Battles which were fought on this mountain between the local inhabitants, before the white settlers occupied the land. Stop over for lunch at the Monsoon Gallery Art Shop and Mad Dogs Cafe.
After lunch you board a boat for a scenic trip on Swadini Dam with splendid views of the Blyde River Canyon and Three Rondawels. Approx 250 km tour.


* Swaziland Tour
A Day trip into Swaziland travelling via the Swaziland highlands to visit the Ngwenya Glass Factory, The Ezulwini Valley of the Kings, and the Swazi Tribal Village of Mantenga.
Enjoy the Swazi Market in Mbabane, and shop for the beautiful Swazi Cloth. Depart 05h30 and be back by 18h00. approx 800 km tour


* Mozambique and Maputo Tour
Two day tour: Exciting New Destination - Maputo in Mozambique
Maputo is the new playground for intercontinental adventure seekers, offering a palate brimming with delicious seafood, nightlife vibing with afro-jazz music, tropical beaches and friendly smiling locals.
