Situated in the lush green bush of one of South Africa’s prime hunting grounds, the three lodges Zinyathi, Kolobe and Mafula all forms part of the greater Zinyathi Game Farm, comprising and area in excess of 2750 hectares. To get there is no problem, you can fly, you can drive and you can even go by helicopter, for this unique facility is only 360 kilometres from Gauteng. Apart from the ultra-luxury of Zinyathi Lodge, where foreign hunters
are catered for, Mafula Lodge ideal for conferences and other corporate
meetings. |

Zinyathi Lodge
This ranch is malaria free and situated in the summer rainfall area with
an average rainfall and temperatures averaging between 17 and 39 degrees
centigrade.
Zinyathi Lodge provides full catering but also allows for self-catering. The lodge accommodates 20 guests in four independent chalets with on-suite facilities, all fully equipped to suite your needs.
A swimming pool enables our guests to wash off the day’s dust and sweat while watching the water birds on the pond about 15 metres away.
DSTV with international channels is available to the sport lovers to ensure that you do not miss a game. The lapa is well situated in the middle of the four chalets with a pool table and breakfast unit for your comfort.
Mafula Lodge
The second of the three lodges, Mafula Lodge, is mainly a day function
lodge but is fully equipped to accommodate up to 33 people overnight in
the ten rooms. Five of the rooms are furnished with double beds and have
on-suite facilities.
The remainder of the rooms share an ablution block. The main building consists of a kitchen, dining room and lounge. We are able to serve 60 guests in our spacious dining room.
Mafula lodge is very popular for corporate get-away, strategic planning sessions, team development programmes and weddings. With five swimming pools built around the bar for speedy services, an indoor jacuzzi facing the game feeding area and a real bush veldt lapa you really don’t need more.
The most dense marula tree population is growing on this ranch.
Kolobe Lodge
The third and the last camp is Kolobe Lodge. This camp is ideal for the
not so faint hearted. The camp accommodates twelve guests in four rooms,
two with en-suite facilities and the remaining two rooms share an adjoining
bathroom. This is a solar powered camp.
The braai area is located next to the living room under thatched roof and the bar is on the first flour facing the small dam where the animals quench their thirst in the late afternoons.
The swimming pool is just big enough to enjoy the cosiness of the bush veldt while watching the game drinking from the waterhole about 30 metres away. The lodge is situated 6 kilometres from Zinyathi Lodge.
Here the visitor can relax and during sweltering summers days drinks can be enjoyed in one of the five swimming pools build around the bar area. Kolobe Lodge is earmarked for South African hunters where all the usual facilities with self-catering are available.
A very basic and rustic camp is currently being built to even cater for those who want to be closer to nature.
Should you get tired at Zinyathi, you are tired with life. The various activities available at Zinyathi ensure that the visitor will always be occupied regardless of weather conditions. Pool tables, swimming pools, quad bikes, walking trails, bird watching, DSTV, shooting range and game drives keep everybody busy.
