Waterbuck Lodge is uniquely positioned adjacent to a water estuary in the southern part of the Thornybush Nature Reserve and it provides extraordinary wildlife diversity within the confines of a closely located waterhole and abundant bird life.

In between exciting dawn and dusk safaris in open Land Rovers, take time to relax and enjoy the central entertainment and dining area which is flanked by an inviting swimming pool and bar area.
You are invited to simply withdraw into the sounds of the African bush on the tanning deck or lazing by the swimming pool.
The main deck area continues to provide a further comfortable viewpoint of the abundant wildlife who frequent the feature waterhole adjacent to the lodge.

Directions to Waterbuck Game Lodge
From the South on the R 40
On the R40 from Bushbuckridge
Continue through Acornhoek towards Klaserie
Continue for about 7 km
Turn right towards Hoedspruit just before Klaserie which remains the R40
Continue for 24 km towards Hoedspruit - Turn right at the Eastgate Airport sign / Argyle Road.
Continue 14 km (tarred road) and turn right onto Guernsey Road
Continue approx. 16km (gravel road) and turn into Waterbuck Lodge's Gate and continue to the lodge as directed

From the North on the R 40
At Hoedspruit take the R 40 south towards Bushbuckridge.
Continue 6 km and turn left at the Eastgate Airport sign / Argyle Road.
Continue 14 km (tarred road) and turn right onto Guernsey Road
Continue approx. 16km (gravel road) and turn into Waterbuck Lodge's Gate and continue to the lodge as directed

From Johannesburg to Waterbuck Game Lodge
The N12 to Emalahleni (Witbank), where the N12 highway links up with the N4 highway.
Continue with the N4 in the direction Mbombela (Nelspruit).
Approximately 60 km past Middleburg take the R 540 to your left.
Travel though the towns of eMakhazeni (Belfast) and eMnotweni (Dullstroom) to Mashishing (Lydenburg).
Take the R 36 (which becomes the R 527) towards Hoedspruit, passing through Origstad and descending down the Able Erasmus Pass.
At Hoedspruit take the R 40 south towards Bushbuckridge.
Continue 6 km and turn left at the Eastgate Airport sign / Argyle Road.
Continue 14 km (tarred road) and turn right onto Guernsey Road
Continue approx. 16km (gravel road) and turn into Waterbuck Lodge's Gate and continue to the lodge as directed
From Pretoria to Waterbuck Game Lodge
Take the N4 in the direction Mbombela (Nelspruit).
Approximately 30 km past eMalahleni (Middleburg) take the R 540 to your left.

From Jeppe's Reef border post, follow the R 570 north in the direction Malelane.
Take the N4 highway in the direction of Nelspruit for 64 km.
On arrival in Nelspruit turn right on the R 40 in the direction White River.
Continue Through White River, Hazyview and Bushbuckridge to Klaserie.
24 km after Klaserie turn off - turn right at the Eastgate Airport sign / Argyle Road.
Continue 14 km (tarred road) and turn right onto Guernsey Road
Continue approx. 16km (gravel road) and turn into Waterbuck Lodge's Gate and continue to the lodge as directed
