Pezulu is a small, exclusive Tree House Game Lodge situated in the Guernsey Private Nature Reserve 40 minutes from the world famous Kruger National Park.
Pezulu is the ideal place to escape from today’s hectic world and enjoy the tranquility of the unspoilt African bush.
Guests can relax by enjoying sundowners or chill by the rock pool or even enjoy meals in our boma area. The Lodge comprises of eight unique thatch and reed tree houses, accommodating a maximum of twenty-five guests. Each unit has been built to blend with the environment whilst maintaining an element of luxury.

We offer 8 thatched tree houses that accommodate a maximum of 16 guests. All the units are en-suite, most of them with open showers and can view game from the private balconies.

Family Units
We have 2 of these and they can accommodate a family with 4 children.

The rooms are on the same level only separated by the balcony and a bed can be fitted in the parents room for very young children.

Honeymoon Treehouse
Has a king size bed and is built on 2 levels, a bathroom, sunken bath with a bush view and a sitting area. The balcony overlooks the Drakensberg Mountains and a waterhole where animals come to drink.

Dream Treehouse
Built on 2 Marula trees, it has a spacious bedroom, a beautifully decorated bathroom with a jacuzzi bath, a cosy lounge and a separate walk away leading to the twin outdoor shower.
The 4 poster king size bed is built on wheels, allowing guests to sleep either inside or outside on the balcony under the stars. From the balcony, our guests can enjoy the great view of the waterhole and the African savannah.

How To Get To Pezulu Tree House Lodge

From Johannesburg
Proceed East along the N4 passing Witbank and Middleburg, turn left onto the R540 at Belfast. From Belfast proceed through Dullstroom to Lydenburg.
From Lydenburg take the R36 to Ohrigstad, stay on this road passing through the Strijdom Tunnel and keep on this road for 29 km until you see the sign for Swadini / Orpen.

Turn right here and continue for 32 km, turn left at the sign for Orpen and continue 2.5 km until you see the sign for Guernsey.
Go through the Control Gate and drive for 8.5 km until you see the Pezulu sign on your right. From Orpen Gate - Stay on the R531 for about 40 km. Turn right when you see the sign for Guernsey.
Go through the Control gate and drive for 8.5 km until you see the Pezulu sign on your right.

From Hoedspruit
Head South on the R40 towards White river, after 23 km turn left when you see the Guernsey sign (just after the Cheetah Project).
Go through the Control gate and continue on this road for about 11 km (road becomes dirt half way). When you reach the end of this road, turn right. After about 4 km you will see the Pezulu sign on your left.

From Nelspruit
Take the R40 towards White River, continue on the R40 towards Hazyview, Bushbuckridge, Acornhoek. Continue through Acornhoek till you see the sign for Orpen (R531) .
Turn right and continue for 2,5 km until you see the Guernsey sign. Turn left and go through the Control Gate, drive for 8,5 km till you see the Pezulu sign on your right side.

By Air
The nearest airport is Eastgate about 30 minutes from Pezulu. South African Airways offers daily flights from Johannesburg to Eastgate Airport. Transfers can be arranged on request.
