on the Eastern escarpment of the Drakensberg Mountains in the Limpopo

Monyela Mountain Lodge Accommodation
Accommodation is available in the Lodge with 5 bedrooms sleeping 12 guests
and / or the Chalet with 2 bedrooms sleeping 4 guests.
Both units have magnificent views of the valley and the mountains thus
making them relaxing and tranquil.
The Lodge is an upscale 450 sq/m double story house and the chalet is
a +- 100 sq/m unit.
The Lodge
Has 5 bedrooms with 12 beds, 4 bathrooms of which 2 are en-suite. The
master bedroom and the 2nd guestroom both have king sized beds (twin beds
pulled together) and the bathrooms are en-suite.
The 3rd room has a king sized bed with a designated bathroom, the 4th
guestroom has 4 bunk beds and shares a bathroom with the 5th bedroom.
The 5th bedroom has 2 single beds and shares a bathroom. There is a lounge
upstairs, a small bar, wooden deck leading off to the dining room and
the lounge.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a toaster, microwave, cutlery / crockery,
pots and pans, fridge / freezer and a gas stove.
The Chalet
Has 2 bedrooms that both have king sized beds (twin beds pulled
together), share a bathroom and are equipped with private braai area,
private deck, dining area, lounge with DStv.
The kitchen is fully equipped with cutlery / crockery, microwave, fridge
/ freezer, pots and pans, electric stove and a toaster.

How To Get To Monyela Mountain Lodge
From Nelspruit
Take the R40 to Hoedspruit, in Hoedspruit turn Left at 4 way
onto the R527 towards Tunnel / Lydenberg. approximately 18 Km just past
Blyde River Bridge turn Left onto Driehoek Rd, follow road for approximately
4.8 Km to Monyela Mountain Lodge SIGN turn right.
Continue road all the way approximately 4.5 km passing through 3 gates
(gravel road for approximately 3 Km then concrete strips for approximately
1.5 Km to the Lodge (the concrete part is quite a climb so it is advisable
to keep you’re vehicle in 1st gear).
From Johannesburg / Pretoria
Use the highway towards Witbank N4, Belfast, Dullstroom, Lydenburg, Origstad
then Hoedspruit. Once past JG Strijdom Tunnel approximately 24 Km follow
Blyde 1 Stop Signs.
Just before Blyde 1 Stop and before Blyderiver bridge (approximately 18
Km before Hoedspruit) turn Right onto Driehoek Road, follow road for approximately
4.8 Km to Monyela Mountain Lodge SIGN, then turn right.
Continue road all the way approximately 4.5 Km passing through 3 gates (gravel road for approximately 3 Km then concrete strips for approximately 1.5 Km to the Lodge (the concrete part is quite a climb so it is advisable to keep you’re vehicle in 1st gear).
