We are nestled between the Swartberg and Kamanassie Mountain
Ranges. Situated adjacent to Meiringspoort, it is surrounded by
pristine hills and unspoilt vegetation and is home to more than
2 500 plant species and 50 bird species. Stompdrift Dam Resort and
Camping can be found on the biggest dam in the Klein Karoo, with
a 25 km circumference. |

Stompdrift Resort and Camping Accommodation
Werfhoender Safari Camp : The camp has four huts, each furnished
with two single beds and with a balcony. An additional sleeping balcony
for three can be found above the kitchen.
The shower is heated with a traditional "donkey" and the communal
hut has a lounge and a fully-equipped kitchen.
Pens and Pooitjies Chalet : Pens and Pooitjies Chalet
comprises three attached cottages of which two are bedrooms and the other
is an equipped self-catering kitchenette.
The shower is en-suite and the chalet has a small lounge as well as two
sleeping balconies.
Kudu Chalet : Kudu Chalet has a double bed and three
large, partitioned sleeping platforms that are big enough to sleep 18
children. It has an en-suite shower.
Privacy is limited. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering and the
unit is furnished with fans and tea-and-coffee facilities. A braai facility
is available.
Eagles Nest Chalet : This double storey chalet offers
a lovely view of the dam from its elevated stoep. There are three bedrooms
with double and single beds.
It has an en-suite shower and the kitchen that is equipped for self-catering.
This chalet also has a private braai area.
Bokkie Chalet : This chalet is furnished with three double
beds and an en-suite shower. The main bed is partitioned and the other
two beds are stacked.
Equipped with fans, the chalet is fully equipped for self-catering and
has its own braai area.
Camp Sites : Overlooking the dam, the camping sites consist
of three lawned, covered terraces with shady trees and braai areas.
The two ablution blocks have showers only and power points are shared
between the campers. A charge of R50 per person is applicable for additional
people.

Directions to Stompdrift Dam Resort and Camping
From Oudsthoorn, merge onto Voortrekker Street/N12 and continue to follow
the N12 toward De Rust. After 35.4 km, turn right onto the R341 and after
4.1 km, turn right.
Follow the road for 2.9 km, make a sharp left turn and after 170 m, Stompdrift
Dam Resort and Camping will be on your right-hand side.
