African Footprints is situated opposite the University of the Free State, and Universitas Hospital, in the same street than all major sport stadiums ( Vodacom Park etc.), Grey College, Eunice Girls High, Central University of Technologies the Waterfront Mall with various upmarket restaurants and the Bloemfontein Zoo.

All government departments, the Supreme Court, Saint Andrews Boys and Saint Michaels and Mimosa Mall are within 1.2 kilometre from African Lodge.

We offer comfortable, stylish, African decorated en-suite bedrooms.
All of our rooms have private entrances to the garden and parking area.
We have self catering family units with a kitchenette, our family units can accommodate up to 5 guests at a time

En-suite bathroom with a bath or shower. a selection of satellite TV (DSTV) bouquets are in all the rooms.

We are located right opposite the Universitas Hospital and just around the corner from the University of the Free State (UOFS).

All our Rooms are stylishly decorated in a true African style, each offering you all the comforts and amenities you would expect from a world class Lodging facility. Our rooms offer en-suite bathrooms and most offer private access to the parking area.

Our self-catering family rooms are fully equipped and sleep four people. Each unit offers a double and two single beds.

African Lodge can provide lodging for groups of up to 37 people.

Cancellation Policy
In the event of premature departure we charge for the full amount of the original booking.
Cancellation 0 to 28 days before days of arrival, or no show – visitors forfeits 100% of any deposits paid.
Approved refunds are only to be done once a month.

Directions to African Footprints Lodge

From the N1 take the Nelson Mandela off ramp, drive for about 2km and turn right at the traffic light, into DF Mahlerbe street. Drive straight until you meet with a T-junction, turn right at the T-junction into Paul Kruger Avenue. We are situated on your left hand side.

Currently staying with African Lodge. I must say my experience so far has been phenomenal.The service is top notch and the rooms are great. I had the pleasure of staying long enough to enjoy both their breakfast and dinner, which are included in the price. The staff are friendly and very helpful with regards to my needs. I especially loved the look and feel of the place. If it was not for the traffic outside I would swear it was a bush lodge. I would recommend African Lodge to anybody and will surely choose them again when I am visiting.
