The local area is famed for it’s truly outstanding courses, with
the jewel being Royal Dornoch Golf Club which is a
short distance from Golf View.
In addition to Royal Dornoch there are many other truly outstanding courses
within a short drive, Tain, Brora, Golspie and Bonar Bridge are just a
few.
Whisky Lovers
The World Famous Glenmorangie distillery is just a short drive away, with
a gift shop, guided tours and the traditional end of tour dram awaiting
this is a must see for the visitor to the area.
Walkers
The location is such that the scenery is breathtaking, take an hour or
take a day, marvel in the coastline that Dornoch has to offer, stroll
along the beach, in the country, wherever you wander there will always
be something to marvel at.
Wildlife
Why not take a trip down to the shoreline, or an excursion onto the Moray
Firth where dolphins and seals are plentiful, remember to take your camera.

Directions
Getting there from the Information Centre
From Dornoch A9 south take bypass around Tain to south entrance (Knockbreck
entrance).
Go along this road 0.5 miles you will see signposts for Golf View on right,
short of the Shell Petrol Station on right.
Follow long driveway.
House not on roadside.
Getting There by Railway
From Tain Railway Station take road to High Street, turn left at top of
Brae follow road along High Street past Post Office on left.
Go on passing Knockbreck Primary School on right until you reach footpath
entrance to Golf View House.
This only applies if you are walking from the station.
Getting there by Aeroplane
From Inverness Airport (Dalcross) take A9 (Wick) 32 miles to Tain.
At Tain take 1st right B9174, go 0.5 miles along this road.
House signposted on right, short of the Shell Petrol Station. Follow long
driveway.

Getting There by Ferry
From Scrabster Tain is about a 2 hour journey from Thurso, follow A9 and
take the last entrance to Tain, B9174.( Knockbreck entrance)
