Benside
Cottage is a traditional crofthouse located in the quiet crofting
village of Benside.
It sits on a hillside overlooking the Main Town of Stornoway and across
Broadbay.
It is the ideal base for exploring the many attractions of the island.
The cottage has been our family's home since the 1950s and belonged to
my late Grandmother.
We have taken great care to refurbish the cottage to the very highest
standards to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible.
The house retains the character of the traditional crofthouse but has
been tastefully refurbished to provide all the needs of the modern lifestyle.

Getting there by Aeroplane
From Stornoway Airport take A866 to Stornoway, 2 miles.
At second roundabout turn right, up Matheson Road.
At next roundabout turn right onto A857 (Barvas/Back).
At next roundabout proceed straight ahead (A857).
Travel 1 mile, cross single track bridge and take next left past Laxdale
School.
Property is situated 200m on left.
Getting There by Ferry
From Stornoway ferry terminal, take left turn at exit for ferry terminal.
At roundabout (100m) turn right and travel 200m to next roundabout.
At roundabout turn left up Matheson Road.
At next roundabout turn right onto A857 (Barvas/Back).
At next roundabout proceed straight ahead (A857).
Travel 1 mile, cross single track bridge and take next left past Laxdale
School.
