Attractions
The pretty cliff top village of Catterline is just 2 miles away and boasts the Creel inn, well known for its excellent seafood.
The area has much to offer with a network of cycle routes, endless opportunities for walking and a good selection of golf courses.
The town of Stonehaven is only 4 miles miles away and offers a good selection of shops and restaurants as well as its famous outdoor heated swimming pool.
The area is rich in wildlife, with seabirds at the reserve of Fowlsheugh. Seals, minke whales and dolphins can be spotted off the coast.
The north east coastal trail runs for more than 150 miles taking in many pretty villages ,coves and beaches along the way.
Aberdeen is only 15 miles to the north and has a fantastic selection of attractions and activities.
Montrose is south of the Neuk where you will find the Montrose basin, RSPB reserve, Montrose air station heritage centre with its extensive range of displays and St. Cyrus beach and Lunan Bay, stunning broad east facing beaches of beautiful sand, backed by sand dunes stretching for miles.

Directions

Getting there from the Information Centre

Go south along Allardice Street, continue along Dunnottar Avenue out of Stonehaven, go up a series of bends for 1 kilometre then turn left at the “T” junction on to the A92 coast road.
Follow this for only 300 metres and turn right into road signposted “Barras”.
Follow this road for 4.3 kilometres (2.7 miles) and The Neuk is in front and to the right of you.
