Ros Muire Bed and Breakfast Scotland

Overlooking the lochs of Greshornish and Snizort with views to the Western Isles, Ros Muire provides an ideal base to explore Northern and Central Skye (and beyond).

Situated 12 miles from the islands capital Portree, and 10 miles from Dunvegan it is set in a peaceful landscape.
Ros Muire is a modern, well appointed bungalow set in six and a half acres of croft land.

Guests also have use of the sun lounge from which you can enjoy the views over the loch.

Ros Muire Bed and Breakfast Accommodation

Our comfortable and modern bed and breakfast is set in a peaceful elevated position , on a small croft, with spectacular views across Loch Greshornish, out to Loch Snizort and across the Minch to the Western Isles.
At Ros Muire we have two double bedrooms, each with its own shower en-suite.
Both rooms are decorated and furnished to a high standard.

Directions

From Portree:
Take the A87 signposted to Uig.
After 4 miles take turn onto the A850 signposted to Dunvegan.
Continue for approximately 8 miles.
Take the right hand turn for Fanks.
Drive for a half a mile and then take left turn (opposite an 'A-frame' wooden chalet).
We are then the first turning on the left.

From Dunvegan:
Take the A850 signposted to Portree.
After approximately 9 miles (once through Flashadder) take the left hand turn signposted to Kildonan.
After half a mile turn right (opposite an 'A-frame' wooden chalet).
We are then the first turning on the left.

Getting there from the Information Centre

From Portree take the A87 signposted to Uig.
After 3.5 miles turn onto the A850 signposted to Dunvegan.
Follow this road for 7.5 miles and then take right turn signposted to Fanks.
Continue on the road for approximately 1 mile, take the turning on the left and we are then first on the left.

Getting There by Car
From Kyle of Lochalsh take A87 across the Skye Bridge and continue to Broadford and then onto Portree.
From Portree take the A87 signposted to Uig.
After 3.5 miles turn onto the A850 signposted to Dunvegan. Follow this road for 7.5 miles and then take right turn signposted to Fanks.
Continue on the road for approximately 1 mile, take the turning on the left and we are then first on the left.
If travelling from Dunvegan take the A850 signposted to Portree.
Continue for approximately 10 miles and then take the left hand turn signposted to Kildonan.
Drive for just under one mile and then take the turning on the right. We are then the first turning on the left.

Getting There by Railway
The nearest train station is at Kyle of Lochalsh.
It is possible to hire a care from there (in advance).
Alternatively there are bus services that you can take to Portree and onto Dunvegan which will stop at the Fanks Road turn off.
We can arrange to collect you from here.

Getting there by Aeroplane
Inverness is the nearest airport.
Various car hire companies operate from there.
Alternatively you can catch a train to Kyle of Lochalsh and follow directions above.

Getting There by Ferry
The ferry operates from mainland Scotland from Mallaig and sails across to Armadale.
From here take the A851 until this reaches the A87.
Continue through Broadford and onto Portree.
From Portree follow directions given from Tourist Information Office above.
