For many years, Orkney has been the destination for the discerning traveller who is looking for peace and quiet, heritage, the arts and above all, that sense of quality and security which is not found anywhere else in Britain. This feeling of freedom can only truly be achieved in a self catering establishment where you can come and go as you please, yet still be close to Orkney’s past. Sebay Mill once was responsible for grinding all the grain for the community, but over a period of time it was left to ruin. After three years of careful restoration, the mill is now fully restored, creating six luxury self-catering apartments, so visitors can enjoy the best of Orkney from their luxury base looking out towards the Bay of Suckquoy.

The internal fittings of the units have been completed to the highest possible standard, from the hardwood floors to the specially commissioned artworks by Sam MacDonald. sebay mill. The kitchens have stainless steel cookers, bedrooms are furnished with natural timber fittings and the bathrooms all have seperate shower and baths.

THE KILN has two bedrooms on the first floor with the large lounge, dining room and kitchen on the second floor reached by a spiral staircase. A special feature of this apartment is the large roof windows from which you can view the exceptional Orkney sunsets.

BURNSIDE, which is reached by outside stairs, overlooking the burn, is also on two levels with its lounge and dining area on the top floor. Glass walls surround the kitchen giving it that extra feeling of light.
