Oban hotel Constructed of sandstone and built in 1875 Heatherfield House was formerly a Manse.

Over the years the house has had a long, renowned history as a hotel and guest house, however in recent years the house has been a private dwelling but in July 2007 the house was re-opened as a small high quality guest house offering guests that little bit extra.

Tucked into the hillside above Oban , Heatherfield House offers guests an opportunity to relax in the peace and quiet of our location overlooking the bay with breathtaking views to the islands of Kerrera and Mull. The house is an ideal base for visitors to Oban with its' close proximity to the town and its' many restaurants and bars.

The train station and ferry terminal are only a short walk from the house with ample private parking within the grounds. Guests are welcome to leave their cars whilst taking one of the many trips available.

Oban is not only 'The Gateway to the Isles' but also an ideal place to stay whilst visiting the many attractions that the west coast of Scotland has to offer throughout the year.

Heatherfield House Accommodation

The house with its' high, elegant, Victorian ceilings, offers spacious and comfortable accommodation. There is a cosy, quiet lounge area with a computer available should you wish to access the internet or send an email.

In the warmer weather guests can sit outside in the garden or patio area and take in the breathtaking views in particular the stunning sunsets over the mountains and sea.

All rooms have Freeview TV and Wi-Fi. Bedrooms 2 and 6 are all equipped with flat screen televisions. Bedroom 2 is a delightful generous sized room with a large bathroom and roll top bath.

Bedroom 1 is a large Superior en suite kingsize room with sea and garden views equipped with 32 inch LCD TV and DVD player.

Bedroom 3 is a superior/twin ensuite room with lovely views to Kerrera and the Isle of Mull.
Bedroom 4 is a single room with private bathroom,also enjoys lovely views to Kerrera and the Isle of Mull.

Bedroom 5, a kingsize en suite room with dual aspect. Also enjoys lovely views to Kerrera and the Isle of Mull. Bedroom 6 is a standard double en suite room with double shower.

Each room has tea and coffee making facilities and a bountiful hospitality tray, radio alarms and complementary toiletries.

Breakfast Menu
On our extensive breakfast menu we offer homemade produce including sausages and preserves whilst eggs come courtesy of our chickens.

To Start, help yourself to the side table, which includes cereals, fresh and dried fruit, local cheeses and yoghurts. Porridge is available served with a jug of double cream, preferably tell us the night before due to the cooking time but we will cook it to order but be prepared to wait.

Let us know if you have any food allergies. Any other dietary requirements can be catered for with notice. If we know before, we can offer you a bigger choice of croissants etc. for a continental breakfast. With a day or so notice we can cook you Smoked Haddock or Kippers, or next time you stay, order in advance.

Please note all food i cooked freshly to order.

Check in time is between 15.00 and 19.00 hours. Arrival outside these hours must be agreed at time of booking. Failure to arrive within check-in time or otherwise agreed time will be considered no show. Guests are expected to vacate rooms at 10.00 am on the day of departure.

DIRECTIONS
From the North:
Take the A85 into Oban. At the roundabout take the 1st exit heading into the town, then take the 2nd road left into Craigard Road. Head up the hill and bear left into Albert Road. Heatherfield House is the 2nd house on the left.

From the South:
Take the A816 into Oban Head towards the town centre, follow the one way system to the roundabout. Take the 2nd exit, at the next roundabout take the 2nd exit heading back into town. Take the 2nd road left into Craigard Road. Head up the hill and bear left into Albert Road. Heatherfield House is the 2nd house on the left.
