Oban hotel Hawthornbank Guest House is a delightful Victorian villa built in 1873 by local builder William Menzies for one of his two sons.

It is pleasantly situated in a slightly elevated position close to Oban town centre(5 minutes walk), yet in a quiet residential setting. A wooded footpath leads from the front garden towards the town.

Extensive refurbishment and upgrading has been carried out whilst retaining, as far as possible, the period charm of the house which has been awarded the grade of 4 Star Guest House by the Scottish Tourist Board.

Robert & Morven Wright will provide you with a warm welcome and a relaxed atmosphere to make your stay with us an enjoyable one.

DIRECTIONS
When entering Oban from Fort William or Glasgow by car (A85), you will come down a steep hill towards the bay. Turn left immediately after the Kings Knoll Hotel (signposted to the swimming pool), and at the next junction go as near as possible straight across, into Dalriach Road.

Pass the new "Atlantis Leisure" swimming pool/sports centre on your left, and we are just beyond, on the right. If arriving from Lochgilphead or Campbeltown (A816), drive right through Oban and follow signs for Crianlarich A85 (A82).

As you climb up the hill out of Oban (after the two small roundabouts), take the first turning on the right, just before the Kings Knoll Hotel, and then proceed as above.
