Oban hotel Braeside Guest House is set in the beautiful scenery of West Argyll, Scotland, overlooking Loch Feochan. Braeside offers superb views of the hills of Mullach Ban and Craeg Mhor.

Situated three miles from the delightful port of Oban the "Gateway to the Isles" Jon and Cherry Freeman offer a warm welcome to Braeside, our family run Guest House, and we provide the very best in food and accommodation for the visitor at a reasonable cost.

Our guests immediately feel welcome and relaxed in a warm and friendly atmosphere, and we have many guests who return to us annually.

Braeside Guest House Accommodation

All rooms are on the ground floor and are en-suite, have TV/DVD tea/Coffee facilities and many have panoramic views. We have Twin, Double and Triple rooms and all are tastefully decorated and are en suite.

Dining at Braeside
Beside the superb views and superior accommodation we offer delicious home cooked food either for our outstanding breakfasts with homemade jam and marmalade or for a relaxing and elegant evening meal in our dining room overlooking Loch Feochan.

Here at Braeside we believe that food and drink play an important part of any holiday experience, we use only the finest ingredients sourcing locally wherever possible.

And what better way to round off the evening than having a whisky tasting, trying one of nearly 100 single malt whiskies in our licensed bar You are sure to enjoy all the facilities associated with a Scottish Tourist Board Four Star AA Four Star Guest House and more.

Guests are welcome to arrive after 3.00pm and are asked to vacate rooms by 10.30am on the day of departure.

Braeside has the advantage of a peaceful and rural setting yet is within reach (three miles) of Oban with all it's additional attractions and facilities, offering excellent leisure and sporting activities. Often referred to as "The Gateway to the Islands", Oban and the surrounding area are the ideal base for a Scottish Holiday.

There are a wide variety of Tours and Excursions operating daily to the Isles of Mull, Iona and Staffa. Visits to Glencoe, Appin, Fort William and Inverarry are but a few of the many interesting places in our vicinity, with spectacular views round every bend.

Braeside is an ideal base for touring or walking with an abundance of sea or loch fishing, bird watching, hiking, cycling, canoeing, horseriding, sailing, golfing and diving.

Quite simply there is something for everyone, whatever your taste!

Getting there by Aeroplane:
From Glasgow take M8 to junction 30 over Erskine Bridge, A82 to Crainlarich, A82 to Tyndrum, A85 to Oban, A816 to Kilmore and Braeside Guest House is on left after church. Approximately 100 miles.

Getting There by Ferry:
From Oban take A816 (Oban to Lochgilphead road) to Kilmore. Braeside is on left after church. Distance 3 miles.
