Macduff Hotels Ashtree Cottage B&B has been completely renovated to offer our guests the best in home comfort with a warm and welcoming environment what ever takes you to Macduff.

The area has some of the best unspoiled and scenic views whether in the heart of the countryside or on one of the shores many bays, coves and cliff sides.
The area is home to a wealth of varied bird and wildlife not limited to but including red squirrel, roe deer, badger, hare and fox.
The many varieties of sea birds seal and famed porpoise dolphins and basking shark provide a rich and abundant exposure to Scotland’s best.
Ashtree Cottage is open all year and offers 3 individually styled rooms with en-suite.

Our accommodation has been tailored to offer our guests a quality stay in a relaxed and informal manner. Furnished to a high standard, each en-suite room combines tasteful contemporary furniture and the latest TV and hi-fi technologies.
Ashtree Cottage was completely renovated to the highest standard incorporating new internal design and construction on 3 levels and, extensions front and rear to facilitate not only guest house needs but also a comfortable family home.
All 3 en-suited rooms offer a standard of quality fittings that will delight.
The newly fitted and well-appointed en-suited rooms Rose, Heather and Thistle each sharing similar amenities comprise beautifully refurbished double bedrooms; shower room en-suited with digital telly and radio are testimony of the owner’s efforts and attention to assure our guests a comfortable stay.

The conservatory leading off the master dining room is the perfect place to relax with the day’s paper after a heart warming full Scottish breakfast.
Or spend an afternoon relaxing with a book or chatting with Lorna and Ted.
The front and rear garden is in the process of being landscaped to the same high standard as the house.

Directions
From the South
Take the A947 Aberdeen (Dyce Village) to Banff road travelling through New Machar, Oldmeldrum, Fyvie, and Turriff before arriving at the south of Macduff.
At the first signpost for Macduff turn right onto Myrus Avenue and continue driving into the town.
The B&B is set on the corner at the first junction on the Left Hand Side set facing you is the B&B sign post in front of an Ashtree set prominently in the corner of the Garden.
Drive entrance is off of this main road (Duff Street).
This should take around 40 / 45 minutes from Aberdeen driving through beautiful rural and agricultural landscapes en-route.
From the East
Follow the A98 Fraserburgh to Macduff road travelling past a number of small hamlets / settlements.
On arrival to Macduff you will see the popular Royal Tarlair Golf course on the right hand side.
Continue driving straight into Macduff and at the first right hand bend in the road turn off on the left on to High Street.
At the end of High street turn left onto Duff Street and continue for apx 0.5 mile till you see the Macduff Primary School on the left hand side.
Ashtree Cottage B&B is on the corner of Duff Street and Barnhill Road standing directly opposite the school entrance on the corner.
B&B Drive entrance is off Duff Street.
With no turn offs until you reach Macduff the journey should take 25 / 30 minutes.
From the West
From Inverness take the East bound A96 all the way to Elgin before continuing east on the A98 to Banff with no turn offs and passing through many other beautiful rural and sea town towns and villages.
On arrival at Banff continue through the town which leads to Macduff.
Option (1) turn right on to the A947 and skirt round the periphery of Macduff turning into the left at the signposted junction apx 1.5 miles from the Banff Bridge, or, option (2) left into the sea shore front of Macduff is possible.
The former being the shorter and most direct route.
Both routes will take you to the B&B in about 5 minutes.
Paragraphs 2 on both the directions above from the South and East take you to the B&B.
With no turn offs until you reach Macduff the journey should take 1hr 45 mins from Inverness and only 40 mins from Elgin.
