Lochinver hotels Tigh Beag is a beautiful self-catering chalet situated on the west coast of the highlands of Scotland in the village of Inverkirkaig.

Inverkirkaig is a small village of about twelve houses nestling around Inverkirkaig Bay. It is situated two and a half miles south of Lochinver on the coastal road.

The chalet is on a private site with a beautiful view over the bay.
The views from inverkirkaig are stunning, and the sights in neighbouring areas even more so.

There is Suilven Mountain to the East and Eas-an-t-Strutha Ghil waterfalls near Kylesku to the North is the highest waterfall in Britain measuring a staggering 290m. Lochinver is the nearest major centre (2 ½ miles) which is a busy fishing port and has a full range of shops, garages, eating places, etc.

Tighbeag Chalet Accommodation

Accommodation in the chalet consists of an open-plan lounge with dining and kitchen areas , two bedrooms (one double and one twin), a bathroom with bath and an airing / storage cupboard in the hall. There is a balcony overlooking the bay and access via patio doors.

The chalet is very well equipped with all mod cons including immersion water heater, electric cooker, microwave, washing machine, tumble drier and outside clothes line.

There is also a colour TV, DVD and video, electric heating throughout, and electric blankets. Duvets and pillows are provided. Bed linen and towels are provided. Bed linen and towels are available by prior arrangement and at a small extra charge. There is also a cot with bedding.

Arrangements can be made to have grocery orders delivered prior to arrival and home-grown vegetables are available.

Pets
We are sorry but we do not allow pets as there are sheep and lambs grazing beyond the garden fence.

The chalet is on a private site with a beautiful view over the bay. The area is ideal for climbers, hill-walkers, anglers and wild-life enthusiasts. Many species of birds and animals can be seen from the chalet including seals, otters, deer, ducks, waders and many small birds.

Inverkirkaig is a small village of about twelve houses nestling around Inverkirkaig Bay. It is situated two and a half miles south of Lochinver on the coastal road. Inverkirkaig Bay is pollution-free, and tidal with sand and pebbles. There are lots of mussels, cockles and winkles which are safe to eat. (unless warning notices displayed)

There is an excellent book / crafts / coffee shop in Inverkirkaig, and Lochinver, which is a busy fishing port, has a full range of shops, garages, eating places, etc.

DIRECTIONS
The journey from Inverness, following the A9 over the Kessock Bridge, and then the signs to ‘Ullapool, Lochinver and Inverkirkaig, takes between two and two and a half hours on a good double-track road. The final mile and a half to Inverkirkaig is on a good surface single-track road with ample passing places. The entrance to the chalet is on the main road, down at the seafront, and beside a telephone box.
