Lochcarron hotel New Lodge is an impressive and extremely comfortable lodge suitable for up to 18 people. Completed in July 2010 it is a welcome addition to the holiday rentals market, being of well above average standard and design.

It would also be ideally suited for special events such as weddings or corporate functions.

The lodge is stylish, blending both antique and modern furniture, to create a very warm and comfortable home.

New Lodge Accommodation

There is under floor heating on the ground floor and the kitchen has a five oven Aga with a separate Aga companion, which has a gas hob. The main drawing room has panoramic views down to Lochcarron and the hills beyond, as well as looking to Wellington's Nose on the north-east side. It can easily accommodate a large family gathering with its mixture of comfortable sofas and window seats.

The TV room has plenty space for those wishing to take advantage of the Sky HD and home cinema TV. There is also a computer with broadband access.

The kitchen has a table, which has seating for 10, and a large American style fridge/freezer as well as providing all the necessary equipment to satisfy even the most discerning cook. There is even a wine fridge for cooling your favourite tipple!

The adjoining dining room can seat up to 18 and has the most spectacular views as well as Anta curtains. It shares a double sided wood burning stove with the drawing room.

There is also a separate utility room on the ground floor with a large larder fridge, washing machine and tumble dryer. Next to the utility room is a boot room with plenty space for handing waders, jackets and it even has a wet room off.

Above the boot room is a king sized bedroom with en-suite shower-room which would be well suited to those wishing to bring a cook. The ground floor also boasts a twin bedded room with en-suite shower room.

On the first floor, accessed from the very generous and bright hall, via an oak staircase with a massive glass window in front, there are five bedrooms. Three super king beds all with en-suite facilities and all making the most of the stunning views.

There are also two family rooms, each with twin beds and bunk beds and capable of sleeping 4 per room. One of these has an en-suite shower-room and the other has the use of the adjoining main bathroom, which has both shower and bath. Every bedroom has its own TV.

The house can comfortably sleep up to 18 and is ideally suited for family groups or for couples who want to make the most of what the area has to offer.

The "Ceilidh Shed" outside has a snooker table, pool table, table tennis table, table football, darts and if that doesn't take your fancy, how about roulette or black jack. There is also a second American fridge/freezer and sofas to relax and enjoy a movie on the 58" TV with home movie and Sky HD. You may find you don't see the kids all week!

There is also a double tennis court in front of the Ceilidh Shed and patio tables and chairs to enjoy the spectacular sunsets.

Area Attractions
The house is ideally placed for exploring Wester Ross and is only 20 minutes from Plockton and Eilean Donan Castle and 40 minutes from Applecross. There is fishing available, in season, on the River Carron. Fishing is subject to separate negotiation with the owners and is over 2 1/2 miles double bank with no restriction on numbers of rods.

Strathcarron railway station is only minutes away and is situated on the main Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh route, making the house even more accessible. Lochcarron village is a 5 minute car journey away where you will find local shops, garage, bistro and pubs.

DIRECTIONS
Getting There by Car:

A9 North to Tore roundabout, 2nd exit to Ullapool/Dingwall/A835, 2nd exit onto A835 – 17.9 miles, turn left at A832 for 15.5 miles. At roundabout take 1st exit and continue onto A890 for approx 17 miles.

AT junction for Kyle of Lochalsh turn left towards Strathcarron for 750 m, turn left along farm drive for 120m and then left again and follow road to house.

Getting There by Railway:
Trains run from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh. Strathcarron Railway Station is a two minute car journey from the house.

Getting there by Aeroplane:
Closest airport is Inverness.
