Kinross Hotels Duncrievie log cabins are located in Kinrosshire, central scotland. Retreat to this hideaway for a cozy, intimate escape, exclusively for adults.

Hilton of Duncrievie Farm Accommodation

All of the log cabins are set in their own private gardens surrounded by views of the Lomond and Ochil hills. The Bracken and Fingask have their own king size 4-post bed. Also both have large double spa baths to soak in and the bracken also has an enclosed double seated shower with radio.

The log cabins are heated by an eco-friendly geothermal heating system, which is weather compensated. Also new for 2010 there is a new 11 Kw windturbine which supplies electricity for the log cabins, all helping to make your trip a little bit more environmentally friendly.

Local Attractions
Set in the grounds of a farm, with the village shop and hotel a 10 minute walk away, which is also next to the Glenfarg Hotel which offers a place to go for meals and drinks. In the summer evenings with daylight late into the evening allows couples to relax on the decking soaking up the views of the sunsets, and in the winter the views of the snow covered Ochils.

Each log cabin is located approximately 50 yards apart with there own large garden areas making your stay a little bit more peaceful. This makes the log cabins appealing to stay for a longer term or a short break with special offers available.

The log cabins are centrally situated for a wide range of destinations with Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Dundee all within an hours drive. There is also a wide variety of activities including walking, cycling, pony trekking, theatres, palaces, castles, gardens, fishing, golfing.

New for July 2010 Ashknowe is now completed and ready for visitors. Enjoy total relaxation and escape for a few days. These authentic round log cabins are private, spacious and worth a visit. CLOSED NOVEMBER TO FEBRUARY, OPEN CHRISTMAS/NEW YEAR.

About Our Area
Situated in the Ochil hills in Perth and Kinrosshire, Glenfarg and the surrounding area is located perfectly for anyone who wants to get away from the day to day grind of our modern day busy lifestyles. It is also located within an hour of Glasgow and 45 minutes of Dundee, Edinburgh, and Stirling.

Within our area there is/are:

· Picturesque views which are ideal for painting and photography

· Dozens of Castles, Palaces and Historic gardens, including Edinburgh castle, Stirling castle and Scone Palace

· Shopping at Perth which is within 15 minutes, and Glasgow, Dundee, Stirling, and Edinburgh offer a slightly wider range and are all within 30 min's to an hour

· Golfing at Milnathort and Kinross as well as a wide range of courses within an hour including championship courses at St Andrews, Gleneagles, Carnoustie, and Kingsbarns

· Fishing at Glenfarg Fisheries and at Bridge of Earn which is on the way to Perth

· Hill walking with the Leven and Ochil hills nearby, as well as a newly created walk which allows you to walk round Loch Leven and a boat trip (summer only) is available from Kinross to the castle on one of the lochs islands where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned

· Cycle hire available from Kinross (New from August 2009). 5 Farm shops within 15 min's which sell a range of local produce. A Small shop in the village as well as a Sainsburys in Kinross (10 min's) or a range of supermarkets in Perth (20 min's)

· Pony trekking available at Glenfarg and several other stables are located nearby.

Days Out
There is a wide range of activities available within a short distance of the log cabins, such as Pony Trekking, Golfing, Cycling, Fishing, Hill walking, Gliding, Bowling, and Skiing.

Fishing:
There is a newly opened Willowgate trout and salmon fishery at Lairwell, Kinfauns. The Willowgate fishery is accompanied by a cafe as well as a tackle shop and is open all year round wednesday to sunday. There are also several other fisheries in the area including one with in walking distance.

Pony Trekking:
There is a selection of stables nearby which offer the chance of horse riding, with the nearest being Over Dalkieth Stables, as well as the barbara riding school which is located in Cupa, approx 20 min's drive.

Quad Biking:
There is a quad biking centre located in north perthshire, near Aberfeldy. It has challenges for a range of abilities, as well as having a range of activities including clay pigeon shooting, paintballing, and white water rafting.

Golfing:
There are dozens of courses within an hours drive of Glenfarg including the championship course at Carnoustie, Gleneagles which is due to host the ryder cup in 2014 and the golfers heaven of St Andrews is only half an hour away.

Hill Walking:
Within easy travel of the log cabins there is some beautiful countryside to observe, with the Lomond and Ochil hills right on the doorstep. As well as this you can go for walks round the scenic Loch Leven.

Bowling:
There is a 28 lane bowling alley at Stirling, Approx 30 min's travel.

Gliding:
The Scottish gliding centre is located at Portmoak airfield, which is within 15 min's.

Skiing:
There is an all year round open air ski centre in nearby Falkirk. It offers a flood lit facility with a 100m long ski slope and a 20m nursery slope, and is open to Skiiers of all abilities.

Cultural Attractions
Within 1 hours drive of the cabins there is a range of cultural attractions including museums, historic attractions, theatres and much more. There is also the former royal yacht, which is moored in a dry dock in Leith, Edinburgh. Perth museum is one of the oldest museums in the UK and is well worth a visit.

Cruises on the Forth
There is a range of cruises available up and down the historic River Forth. The cruises take in views of the banks of the Forth as well as the magnificent Forth rail and road bridges and also the wildlife colonizing the river including Seals, Puffins, Gannets.
