Kinross Hotels Colliston is a family-run working farm with a stunning location on the edge of the Ochil Hills over-looking Loch Leven. It is ideally situated in the heart of Perth and Kinross and is very central for exploring Perthshire and beyond. Edinburgh, St. Andrews, Dundee and Stirling are within a 45 minute drive.

Lavender Cottage, Primrose Cottage & The Old Cottage are situated at the foot of the farm's driveway and occupy a picturesque spot offering pleasant views and a peaceful rural location.

There is easy access on the old coaching road to the nearby historical village of Glenfarg to the north and Milnathort to the South, where local amenities include cosy pubs and hotels, play parks, tennis courts, swimming pool, gliding, golf courses, off-road driving, walks and cycle trails. Milnathort offers a delicatessen, beauty Salon, hairdresser, general store, florist and pottery.

Colliston Cottages Accommodation

The tastefully decorated cottages offer spacious accommodation with a high standard of housekeeping assured by Lyn"s own personal eye for detail, well kept gardens with garden furniture and ample on-site parking.

Lavender Cottage accommodates four people in one twin bedded room and a double bedroom with 5 foot four poster bed, each with ample storage. The south facing refurbished sitting room has a inglenook fireplace with log burning effect, electric stove is comfortable and bright.

The adjoining oak fitted dining kitchen is equipped with, fridge, microwave, an electric cooker, automatic washer/drier, iron and ironing board, electric kettle and toaster. In fact everything for the discerning self-caterer. If not just let us know! Newly renovated bathroom offers bath, shower and electric shaver point.

Primrose Cottage offers the same facilities with the exception of the four poster bed.

The Old Cottage is a delightful victorian stone building which has been recently sympathetically renovated. The one bedroom has a luxury 5 foot four poster bed. Additional facilities include open fire, luxury 5 foot four poster bed, bathroom with seperate shower.

The cottages are fully double-glazed and offers modern oil fired central heating making it ideal for holidays throughout the year. A cot and Highchair are available on request.

A leisurely boat trip across Loch Leven from the jetty in Kinross will take you to the castle where the tragic Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned. The beautiful Falkland Palace built by her father James V in the French Renaissance style is a must see! While in the pretty village enjoy a cup of tea at the award winning Kynd Kyttocks Kitchen.
