A Perthshire Breakfast
Travel around Perthshire and you’ll soon notice that it is a favoured place. Its lush fields edged by woods, it's straths, rivers and upland grazings all create a sense of well being in the landscape. And proof of this is in the sheer variety of quality produce that originates here.

From outstanding raspberries and mouthwatering soft fruit to fresh free range eggs and honey from hills and blossom. From top quality beef, lamb and game to wild boar, succulent venison and an array of vegetables – Perthshire is unbeatable.

A Perthshire Breakfast makes the most of this natural bounty and consists of at least 50% of locally sourced, seasonal produce – a delicious and memorable start to your day. Burnbank is delighted to serve a Perthshire Breakfast.

During your holiday you’ll find plenty of other opportunities to sample local produce in hotels and restaurants as well as from farmers’ markets and our thriving network of farm shops and delicatessens. Relax and take your time as you travel around, savouring the many delicious flavours and the beautiful Perthshire countryside.

Breakfast is normally served between 8.00 and 9.30am, but we can provide it at other times on request. We can also provide a ‘packed breakfast’ if you are wanting a very early start.

Dinner
We provide a small seasonal menu, available if pre-booked. Wherever possible we use local producers which we have chosen because of their production methods, free range, organic etc. We are unlicensed, but would be pleased to chill your wine and provide a corkscrew and glasses to enhance your meal. Dinner is served between 7.00 and 8.00pm.

Other meals
If you are going out for the day and returning to us in the evening, we can provide a picnic lunch, if booked in advance. We can also provide an afternoon tea of homemade scones with jam and cream if you are arriving early, or a ‘cold supper’ if you will be arriving late and will not have had chance to eat on the way.

For all meals, we can cater for a range of special diets, if pre notified. If you enjoy our home-made jams, lemon curd and shortbread during your stay, we can also supply it for sale to remind you of your visit at Burnbank B&B. We are happy to recommend several local restaurants if you wish to dine out (which we can pre-book for you if required).

Further Afield
Burnbank Bed and Breakfast is ideally situated for touring and discovering the beauty of Scotland, its historic cities and many visitor attractions. Here are just a few of our recommendations.

Kinross
Historic Kinross lies on the shore of Loch Leven and is surrounded by hills.

For History:
You can visit the wonderful old town of Edinburgh (27 miles); Scotland’s former capital city of Perth (17 miles); the final resting place of Robert the Bruce in Dunfermline (13 miles); or historic Auchterarder (12 miles).

For Shopping:
You can’t beat the cosmopolitan, yet distinctly Scottish city of Edinburgh (27 miles); for more traditional wares, visit the bustling tourist town of Callander (39 miles).

For Golf:
Kinross and Milnathort both have golf courses (where we can arrange tee times for you), but don’t forget a visit to world famous St. Andrew’s (29 miles), known as the home of golf, or the world-class course at Gleneagles, Auchterarder (18 miles).

For Walking, Climbing, Fishing & Cycling:
Attempt to walk round Loch Leven (not to be done in a day!), take a gentle woodland stroll from Rumbling Bridge to the Devil's Mill, or an energetic climb up Dollar Glen to Castle Campbell. There are also lots of opportunities for cycling, fishing and climbing.

For Culture:
Edinburgh is wonderful all year round but especially in August for the festival and its cheeky sibling, the fringe. Visit the Byre Theatre (St Andrews) and the MacRobert Theatre (Stirling University) or Dundee’s Cultural Quarter. Take a trip to the Ferguson Gallery (Perth), and the National Galleries of Scotland (Edinburgh).

For Sight-seeing & Family Days Out:
Well worth a visit are the Falkirk Wheel, Stirling Castle and the Old Town Jail, or the Secret Bunker (Crail). Walk on the wild side at Blair Drummond Safari Park (Callender) and Deep Sea World at North Queensferry. Or tour the East Neuk fishing villages and quaint Culross.

For Whisky:
Perthshire has both the smallest and oldest distilleries in Scotland. The trail includes the distilleries in Aberfeldy and Pitlochry, but perhaps one of the best in the area is at the Glenturret distillery in Crieff, where you can see how The Famous Grouse blends are made.

For Relaxing & Leisure:
Only 100 yards from the B&B is the Loch Leven Leisure Centre. It has a large heated swimming pool, fitness studio and squash courts, or treat yourself to a pampering session in nearby Milnathort at The Zen Zone where we can pre-book face and body holistic treatments for you.

Our guide and recommendations brochure is available in the B&B guest bedrooms, but please ask if you would like other suggestions of what to see and do.
