Killin is a great village to use as a base, from which you can explore the surrounding area, and beyond. Begin by visiting the famous Falls of Dochart, where pedestrians and cars jostle for position at The Dochart Bridge.

Ardlochay Lodge Accommodation

Fine Scottish guest house accommodation is offered for the discerning visitor to the southern highlands. Located in the beautiful village of Killin - at the head of Loch Tay - it provides the ideal base to explore the surrounding area . Ardlochay Lodge is a large, modern house built to a very high standard.

The guest accommodation comprises of 3 rooms - family, double and twin with full en-suite facilities. Tea and coffee making facilities, clock-radio, hairdryer and colour TV in all rooms. Large guest lounge with TV, library, maps, board games and tourist information.

Dining
Generous, cooked breakfasts. 'Early start' breakfasts provided (if required). Packed lunches and flask re-fills available for a small charge.

Large, off-road parking area. Secure storage for cycles and other equipment, equipment drying room and
advice on routes and tourist attractions in the area.

Please note that where equipment is required for your activity (e.g. cycles, skis, ice axes, canoes etc) we can organise and/or reserve them for you. For your convenience we can even arrange for drop and collection of the items to Ardlochay Lodge.

Out and About
Perthshire bed breakfast does not get any better. You may choose to explore one of the many local villages where time appears to have stood still (e.g. Kenmore, St Fillans, Balquidder).

Why not take a trip to Stirling,and visit The Wallace Monument or Stirling Castle. Edinburgh and Glasgow can both be reached in under 90 minutes, making them perfect for a day trip.

Alternatively, head north from Killin towards Fort William, and Ben Nevis, and on the way pass through the majestic Glencoe, where the famous massacre took place. Head east towards Perth, and on to Scone Palace.

The picturesque port of Oban can be reached in about 75 minutes, from where you can take a day trip to Mull......, or travel further a field to the other Scottish islands...


Directions by Car:
. From Edinburgh take the M9 to Stirling
. From Glasgow take the M80 to Stirling
. From Perth take the A85 to Crianlarich
. From Stirling take the A84 (signposted to Crianlarich):-

which will take you to through Doune, Callander, Strathyre and Lochearnhead. At Lochearnhead the the road becomes the A85. Drive for about 5 miles north of Lochearnhead and take the A827 to Killin.

Travel through the village, past the bowling green and Tennis Courts on the left. Carry on past the Coach House Hotel. Ardlochay Lodge is the 6th building on the left after the Coach House Hotel.
