Invergarry is a village at the foot of Glengarry, on the main Fort William - Inverness road through the Great Glen. Loch Oich, Loch Garry and the Glengarry Forest are among the natural attractions of the area, and the ruined 17th century Invergarry Castle is on the shire of Loch Oich.

We think you will enjoy the unique experience of visiting this site, which has been run by our family since l935, and where our family have lived since 1868.

Faichemard Farm Camping Pitches

We have 35 pitches, which are spread over 10 acres (4 hectares), overlooking the Glengarry mountains. Twelve of the pitches have electric hook-ups (10 amps). All of the pitches with electric are hard standings. Every pitch has its own picnic table.

Our aim, as a site exclusively for adults, is to give you a peaceful retreat in which to relax, so we guarantee no crowding even in high season.

Two toilet blocks, and one chemical disposal point serve the site; both have flush toilets with H & C showers, shaver points, hairdryers and water points. The laundry area has a sink, washing machine tumble dryer and payphone.

The pitch fees shown include one unit, awning, one car and two adults per night. Pitch price includes showers and all other hot water.

Please Note - we only accept tents up to 6x6 metres or 36 sq metres. Please arrange with us if you expect to arrive after 6pm or before 12.00 noon. Last new arrival on the site is 21.30.

Pet Policy
Pets are welcome but must be kept on a short lead on the campsite, and should be exercised off the site. You are responsible for cleaning up after your pet.

We do not allow fires, any ball games, or loud music. You are welcome to have a barbecue on a stand.

Local Facilities and places to visit
INVERGARRY has a general store, post office, restaurant, pub, petrol station, all within 2 miles, and is situated on the Great Glen Cycle Route, and only 3 miles from the Great Glen Way.

FORT AUGUSTUS (7 miles) where you can watch the boats negotiate the Caledonian Canal, or take a boat trip on Loch Ness, has 2 general stores, butcher, doctor, post office, Tourist Information Centre, and several bars and restaurants.

FORT WILLIAM (26 miles) which sits at the foot of Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain, has shops, supermarkets, restaurants, cinema, library, swimming pool, squash courts, museum, post office.

About the Invergarry Area
Whatever your expectations are you will find it very easy to fulfil them in this area. From simply relaxing to the most strenuous of sports, all are available within easy reach of Invergarry.

From forest walks to munro bagging, pony trekking to golfing, cycling to fishing, or riding in a gondola up Anoch Mhor near Ben Nevis, or taking the steam train to Mallaig, the choice is yours! Alternatively tour through some of the most magnificent scenery in Scotland, or simply just sit and look at it without leaving the campsite.

Some of the places within easy travelling distance include: Fort Augustus for the Caledonian Canal, or Loch Ness and the monster! Urquhart Castle at Drumnadrochit; Culloden Battlefield near Inverness; Eilan Donan Castle and the Isle of Skye; The Brochs at Glenelg; The Treasures of the Earth near Fort William and the Sands of Morar on the way to Mallaig.

DIRECTIONS
At Invergarry turn off the A82 on to the A87, towards Kyle of Lochalsh. Continue through the village of Invergarry for about one mile. Turn right on to a minor road signposted 'Faichem'. Follow the signs written in green. Turn right at our sign, A & D Grant, Faichemard Farm.
