to Deveron Valley Cottages. There are four types of self catering accommodation:
Auchingoul Cottage, Swallow Cottage, the Log Cabin and Auchingoul Bothy.
Although we are known as the forgotten part of the North East of Scotland, if you come here to visit we are sure you will want to come back again.
It is a very beautiful part of Scotland, and we are in a good spot as we are rural but not too far from the towns - like Huntly, Turriff, Banff, Elgin and nearby fishing villages.
It is ideal for walking, cycling, surfing, following the Whisky Trail or the Castle Trail, exploring rugged coastline, visiting pretty fishing villages, salmon and trout fishing, pony trekking, golf, visiting National Trust for Scotland properties - and even skiing, which is within one hour’s drive.
Deveron Valley Cottages Accommodation
Auchingoul Cottage was converted in 2002. Originally the old farm workers' cottage, it is now a luxury fully equipped holiday cottage with everything you need in it.
Downstairs it has an open plan kitchen/diner with one twin bedroom, bathroom
with shower, and hallway.
Upstairs there is an open balcony with hi-fi where you can sit and relax,
and also the master bedroom overlooking your own courtyard with garden
furniture and barbecue.
Auchingoul Cottage:
Sleeps 4
Auchingoul Cottage was converted in 2002. Originally the old farm workers'
cottage, it is now a luxury fully equipped holiday cottage with everything
you need in it.

Swallow Cottage:
Sleeps 4 + cot
Swallow Cottage will be ready for bookings from July 2010.
Downstairs it has an open plan sitting room/kitchen, woodburner + oil fired central heating, and bathroom with walk-in shower.
Decking outside with walled garden overlooking fields and River Deveron.
Upstairs there is one double bedroom overlooking the River Deveron, one
twin bedroom, spacious landing and WC.
Auchingoul Log Cabin:
Sleeps 4 + 2
Luxury fully equipped self-catering Finnish log cabin, set in 2½
acres of private wood overlooking the River Deveron.
Wake up in the morning to the sound of birds singing and the river in the background - you could be anywhere - it is the place to come and relax and unwind.
• The log cabin sleeps 4 + cot and has two bedrooms downstairs,
a bathroom with shower, fully equipped kitchen and a spacious lounge with
log burner, TV, DVD and CD player.
• Upstairs you have the master bedroom with TV and CD player.
• Outside you can relax on the veranda, enjoy a barbecue or rock
yourself to sleep in the rocking chair.
Auchingoul Bothy:
Sleeps 2
This is a unique little cottage - known as a bothy - where the farm workers
used to live in days gone by.
It is unique because it has been converted into a perfect holiday home ideal for 2 people. Everything in it had to be well planned, transforming it into a very comfortable cottage.
The bothy has one bedroom with twin beds, a bathroom with walk-in shower, and open plan kitchen/diner with a log burner. Outside there is a walled garden patio with garden furniture, and beautiful views overlooking the River Deveron.
Your own small cottage, fully equipped with superb views, then followed up by a traditional breakfast in the 18th century farmhouse in the morning.
