Grantown on Spey Hotels West Gorton holiday cottage near Grantown on Spey is the perfect quiet cottage for 'getting away from it all' in this small, very comfortable cottage in a remote position in the hills and open countryside (about 1.5 miles from Grantown on Spey itself).

The cottage is reached by a good private road through woodland and open moorland to the cottage. In all directions can be seen views of open hills and the Cairngorm mountains in the far distance.

West Gorton Accommodation

Completely renovated in 1996, it features a very attractive open plan living room with the original stone walls, hardwood floor, tartan curtains, and sofas cosily positioned around a large stone built open fire (logs provided), colour television.

Attractions and Activities
Grantown is a small attractive town with a good selection of shops, hotels and pubs. It has an 18 hole golf course and par-3 18 hole course.

Further north on the Moray Coast - about 35 minutes drive - there is a championship course at Royal Nairn and five other 18 hole courses to try out. There are extensively sandy beaches and water sports to enjoy between Nairn and Lossiemouth to the north.

This beautiful area of Speyside is an excellent base for touring this scenic area. Enjoy the local historic Castles or take in the magnificent scenery by hill walking, climbing, pony trekking, fishing or golf. The whole family will enjoy the Landmark centre at Carrbridge with its dramatic slides and tree top nature walks.

We offer a free round of golf on Craggan Golf Course for one person each week, we also have archery, fishing, falconry on the estate.

DIRECTIONS
Getting there from the Information Centre:

From Grantown Tourist Information Centre turn right out of door, go up street 100 yds and turn left into Seafield Avenue. Continue to the end, take small road up hill, Take left fork and half mile on cottage on right.

Getting There by Railway:
From Aviemore: Take A95 north-east to Grantown-on-Spey.

Getting there by Aeroplane:
From Inverness Airport - Take A96 to Inverness, A9 south, turn off to Carrbridge and follow signs to Grantown. At junction of A95, turn left to Grantown-on-Spey.
