The West Highland Way is one of the World's most famous long distance footpaths; located in Scotland, with the official status of a long distance route. Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum:
The city of Glasgows top visitor attraction, within minutes walk of the Argyll Hotel. Located across from the Argyll Hotel, Kelvingrove Park's 85 acres were laid out by Sir Joseph Paxton in 1852 and are situated between Glasgow University and the Art Gallery and Museum. Features include commemorative statues, fountains, tennis, bowling and a fine herbaceous border.

Glasgow University:

Glasgow University is located in the west end of the city of Glasgow. Within the university buildings you will also find- Hunterian Art Gallery and Museum- Mackintosh House and University Visitor Centre Internationally renowned collections of paintings, drawings and prints by Whistler, and furniture and drawings by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Old master paintings and Scottish art from 18th century to present. Within a short stroll through Kelvingrove Park from the Argyll Hotel.

Glasgow Transport Museum:
The Glasgow Transport Museum is a popular visitor attraction located at the Kelvinhall within a five minute walk of the Argyll Hotel. From carts and cycles to cars and ships, the wide-ranging history of transportation in Scotland is on show here. Much loved by visitors from far and wide are the famous Glasgow trams, the 'Subway' station and Kelvin Street - a reconstruction of a 1938 street scene where you can recapture the atmosphere of old Glasgow. Willow Tea Rooms:
Behind the remarkable facade which Mackintosh created for Kate Cranston, tea and light meals are still served in the Room de Luxe and on The Gallery.
Many of the original features survive. The Willow Tearooms are located at 217 Sauchiehall Street and 57 Buchanan Steet. A must for those who enjoy Afternoon Tea and are fans of Scottish Architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

Glasgow Science Centre:

River Clyde Glasgow:
The River Clyde in Glasgow was in the past very famous for shipbuilding. There is now ongoing regeneration along the river Clyde with the creation of the Glasgow Harbour district and two new bridges in the centre of Glasgow connecting the opposite sides of the city. You can take a short walk from the Argyll hotel to the River Clyde where you can take a trip "doon the water" on the Waverley Paddle Steamer or for the more adventurous take a trip on a seaplane.

Loch Lomond Seaplanes:
Seaplanes returned to the River Clyde after a gap of 60 years. Loch Lomond Seaplanes operate a seaplane service from a new purpose-built terminal at the Glasgow Science Centre on the River Clyde. The Loch Lomond Seaplanes are within easy reach of the Argyll Hotel, Glasgow.
