Fort Augustus is a small village at the southern end of Loch Ness on the Caledonian Canal. The Caledonian Canal, connecting Corpach near Fort William with Clachnaharry in Inverness, was completed in 1822. It is over 60 miles long, but more than two thirds of its length consists of three connected lochs - Loch Ness, Loch Oich and Loch Lochy.

Rooms:
External Studio Bedrooms

The bedrooms hold an external ground floor setting with their own private parking bay, a standard 4.6ft double bed, SKY free-view channels, flat screen TV, hospitality tray, Internet access, iron & ironing board, under-floor heating, open plan wet room & an umbrella for that potential rainy day!

Double Studio (Rooms 31 – 35)
5 double bedrooms are located off the car-park, in a purpose built annex, roughly 20 steps from the hotel.

Twin Studio (Room 36)
1 twin bedroom with assisted bathroom facilities for those with mobility restraints is located off the car-park, in a purpose built annex, roughly 20 steps from the hotel.

Deluxe Bedrooms
11 double & 4 twin bedrooms are located on either 1st or 2nd floor, accessible by lift. Each bedroom is individual in shape, size & architectural feature.

All interior décor is universal but rooms differ in location so some look out to the canal side, hill side or to Loch Ness. In the same vein, some rooms have 4.6ft double beds, 5ft king size beds or 6ft super king size beds as well as bathrooms with shower only or bath & shower units.

If you would prefer a view to Loch Ness or a bath to soothe those walking aches & pains, simple just ask on booking.

Assisted Triple Bedroom (Room 37)
1 triple bedroom, with assisted bathroom facilities is located on the ground floor.
This room has a 6ft super king size bed (also available as a twin) & an additional single bed so it can be let as a family bedroom. The interior décor is traditional & individual to this room.
The bathroom is a large wet room with a small hand wash sink, additional larger basin, shower seat with various grip rails & handles. There is a bathroom emergency pull cord. Both the bedroom & bathroom are spacious enough to accommodate a wheelchair.

It is understood that disabilities differ between guests so we try & implement as many guest recommendations post stay. Although we do not purport to offer all assisted facilities we try & accommodate as many requirements as possible. If there is something specific that you would like during your stay, please just ask.

Family' Bedroom (Room 25)
1 double bedroom, with the option to have 2 extra beds is located on 2nd floor & accessible by lift. 1 6ft super king size bed (also available as a twin)

Super Deluxe Double Bedroom (Room 3)
1 double bedroom located on 1st floor, accessible by lift. The 6ft super king size bed has views to the canal side & surrounding hills. The furnishings are traditional & individual to this room.

The open plan bath area equipped with aqua TV, along with the separate shower room makes this bedroom unique. This room is in close proximity to another double bedroom so this can actually be let to a family of 3 or a family of 4 (as long as 2 children can sleep in a double bed).

Super Deluxe Twin Bedroom (Room 5)
1 twin bedroom located on 1st floor, accessible by lift. The 3ft twin beds have views to the canal side & surrounding hills. The furnishings are traditional & individual to this room.

The bedroom is large & spacious with the bathroom hosting a shower over the bath.

Super Deluxe Double Bedroom (Room 21)
1 double bedroom located on 2nd floor, accessible by lift. The 6ft double bed has views to Loch Ness & surrounding hills. The furnishings are modern.

The bedroom is large & spacious with bath, shower & views to the canal side.

Master (Rooms 7 - 9)
3 double bedrooms located on the 1st floor, accessible by lift. The 6ft super king size beds have views to Loch Ness & the surrounding hills. The furnishings are traditional & individual to each bedroom.
The bedrooms are slightly more open with large windows over looking the front. The bathrooms have both bath & shower units as well as additional features such as bathrobes & TVs.

Grand Master (Room 6)
1 double bedroom located on the 1st floor, accessible by lift. The antique queen size bed has views to Loch Ness, the surrounding hills & the canal side.
The spaciousness of this bedroom, with bay window over-looking the front, offers a unique comfort. The décor is traditional & the ornate wooden antique furniture gives this bedroom its individuality.

The bathroom is sumptuous to balance the bedroom - complete with double shower, free standing bath, double sink, bathrobes & bathroom TV.

Dining:
The Lovat Brasserie offers a different dining experience. It has modern décor & chilled music, capturing the mood with quieter alcoves, an open plan seating & dining area merging with the bar. The Brasserie balances a relaxed dining atmosphere with an urban feel, bespoke to the Highlands.

Directions:
Heading out of Inverness follow the A82 signposted Fort William. Similarly, if you are coming from Fort William follow the signs to Inverness A82.
If arriving by push bike - leave it in the bike shed, if arriving by car or motorbike – leave it in the car park & if arriving by helicopter – land it on the lawn!
