Forres Hotels Daltullich Self Catering Holilday Cottage, located near Forres (and Nairn) in Moray, was originally two cottages which have since been combined.

It is decorated and furnished to a very high standard, is well heated and extremely comfortable. The cottage has a stunning view down to the River Findhorn and is in a beautiful rural setting.

Daltullich Cottage Accommodation

Daltullich Cottage has four bedrooms: one double, two twins and one single. There is room for a folding bed (which is provided) in the twin-bedded room upstairs. The cottage will of course be cleaned before your arrival and after your stay. Cleaning during your stay may be possible by special arrangement. We provide sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases and the beds will be made up for you.

If 8 people will be staying in the cottage, please let us know so we can make up the camp bed. More than 8 people will only be allowed by special arrangement.

There is a television, DVD player, video and Hi Fi/CD player. We can provide a travel cot and a high chair if necessary. Smoking inside the cottage is not allowed. Please only bring dogs with our prior consent and they are not allowed inside the cottage.

There is central heating in all the downstairs rooms. Upstairs there are electric radiators. There are two large hot water cylinders so there should be no shortage of hot water.

Bath towels are provided (and plenty of drying up cloths etc) but we advise you to bring extra towels of your own for beach trips, etc. There is a wooden garage with a shed at the end of it where there is a medium sized chest freezer.

On one side of the cottage there is a level garden allowing you to sit out and look down to the river. There is a path down to the river and wonderful walks along the riverbank. Daltullich is well maintained and is rated excellent (four stars) by the Scottish Tourist Board.

People with small children should be aware that, on one side, the cottage is very close to a public road, albeit not a major one. There is a low wall and gate bordering the road but this would not be effective in preventing active and adventurous children from going on the road. On the other side of the road there are fields, so the outlook from the cottage is attractive despite the road.

Central heating oil and an unlimited supply of logs are all included in the rent. We have an Honesty Box in the cottage for telephone calls, electricity used and breakages. During the summer the cottage is let from Sunday to Sunday and you are asked to leave by 10.30am and not to arrive before 5.00pm.

The rent is payable in full before your stay and is non-refundable in the event of cancellation. The contents of the cottage are insured but not any of your belongings left in the cottage.
