Forres Hotels Cluny Bank Hotel is set in the best residential area of Forres within walking distance of the Forres Golf Course, Cluny Hill College and town centre.

Cluny Bank was built in the early 18 hundreds and extended in 1910. Being a listed historic building it has been carefully maintained. It was a private home for many years and was converted into a hotel in 1999.

Many of the fine original Victorian features have been retained and now Cluny Bank Hotel is a friendly welcoming hotel offering modern amenities.

Cluny Bank Hotel Accommodation

Our hotel offers a choice of single, double, twin and triple accommodation. All bedrooms vary in size and shape and are individually and tastefully decorated. They are designed to help you relax. We hope you find them just as you like it..

Every room has en-suite facilities were you will find a range of quality complimentary toiletries from Penhaligons Blenheim Bouquet Range. We also supply a bale of fluffy towels containing bath sheet, bath towel, hand towel and face cloth.

Every room has a colour television and DVD player, some are now flat screen televisions with integrated Freeview. In the lounge bar a constantly updated collection of DVD's are available for you to watch free of charge. Your rooms are also equipped with a radio alarm clock with an I-Pod Docking Station.

We also have Wi-Fi Internet Access throughout the hotel and there are data-ports in each room to connect by phone cable if required. There is no charge for Internet Access. At breakfast a small range of newspapers are available for you to browse through.

Laundry Facilities
A trouser press and/or iron and ironing board are available and will be brought up to your room should you so wish. For your convenience a laundry and dry cleaning service are also available.

Franklin's, our award winning restaurant, features local produce and our cosy bar lounge offers a range of the fine malt whiskies available in the area.

Lloyd Kenny, the chef and owner of the Cluny Bank Hotel, is passionate about the food he produces and serves to the guests. He has been in the trade for 38 years, since he was 14. Lloyd personally prepares, cooks and often serves the food for the restaurant.

We have an A La Carte Menu which offers the guest a choice of 5 or 6 starters and 7 or 8 main courses all individually priced. The menu changes on a monthly basis to enable us to use fresh,, local produce..

Breakfast is served 7am-9am Monday to Friday and 8am-9.30am at weekends. If it is required earlier this can be arranged.

Lounge Bar
The Lounge Bar is the ideal place to meet other guests and relax in a pleasant atmosphere. Here you can curl up and read a book next to the cosy fire and be tempted to choose from a range of 33 (and growing) malt whiskeys including 10 impressions from the local Benromach Distillery.

Attractions nearby
Forres is situated along the A96, the main road between Aberdeen and Inverness, close to Findhorn and Kinloss and lies directly on the world famous Whisky and Castle Trails. This area is also known for its many Golf courses.

The Forres Golf Course is just around the corner, and there are 13 different golf courses within a half hour drive. But also for walkers, cyclists, surfers, yachtsmen and canoeists the Moray area has a lot to offer, making Cluny Bank Hotel an ideal base for an active holiday.

Getting there from the Information Centre:

Turn right when exiting the Tourist Information Centre. Turn right onto Tolbooth Street just after the Bell Tower. At the end of the road go straight ahead at the roundabout, the hotel is situated approximately a 1/4 of mile along St Leonard's Road on the left-hand side.

Getting There by Railway:
From Forres Railway Station turn left onto the by-pass. Take the first right. At the roundabout turn left to Forres High Street. Turn right onto Tolbooth Street just after the Bell Tower. At the end of the road go straight ahead at the roundabout, the hotel is situated approximately a 1/4 mile along St Leonard's Road on the left-hand side.

Getting there by Aeroplane:
From Inverness Airport follow the A96 Aberdeen road to Forres. At the roundabout turn right into town. At the next roundabout go straight ahead to Forres High Street. Turn right onto Tolbooth Street just after the Bell Tower.
