The Rutland Hotel Accommodation

The twelve individually designed guestrooms at The Rutland are the epitome of elegant glamour and each comes with the latest in-room technology including telephone, voice mail, wireless high-speed Internet access (Wi-Fi), fully stocked mini-bar, in-room safe, wall-mounted flat screen colour TV and an iPod base station at bedside.

Complimentary home baked muffins on arrival, complimentary daily newspaper, real filter coffee and designer teas as well as incredible views of Edinburgh Castle are all part of The Rutland Hotel experience.

The en-suite bespoke rooms are a blend of the baroque and the ultra modern. The signature white headboards and white lacquered bedroom furniture are real room features, while the pops of vivid colour bring the rooms to life.

Standard Rooms (Rooms 2, 3, 8, 9)
Our standard double rooms are each uniquely decorated. As with all our rooms a range of sky and digital channel are available on the HD plasma televisions, also digital radio and personal MP3 players can be attached to the surround sound system.

The ensuite bathroom is fitted with a rainfall shower or bath and stocked with a range of luxury Arran Aromatic pampering products. Rooms also have an iPod dock , digital alarm clock, salon hairdryer, GHD hair stylers, iron and ironing board and a fully stocked mini bar.

Executive Rooms (Rooms 4, 7, 10)
Room 7:
Executive double room with super King sized bed, in the corner of the hotel. Ensuite bathroom fitted with Jacuzzi bath and shower.

Rooms 4 & 10:
Executive double both with super king sized beds. Very spacious rooms with views over Princess street, Bathrooms fitted with Rainfall showers.

Castle View Rooms (Rooms 5, 11)
Room 5:
Character room with stunning views of the castle, dramatically decorated, furnished in black, a super king sized bed, elegant chandelier and ensuite with a bath and shower.

The One Below
Unlike anything else this city can offer, the lounge bar has been inspired by the lounge clubbing style favoured in cities such as New York, Paris and Los Angeles, One Below at The Rutland is as luxe as it gets.

Situated around the perimeter are twelve vaulted booths, each individually designed and sumptuous in jewel colours. Planning a small gathering – let us know and we can organise exquisite platters of food or champagne or bottles of spirits to be waiting for you in the individual ice buckets found in each booth, The One Below at The Rutland is the ideal location to unwind with friends and colleagues.

Our most talked about and must see feature is the interactive ibar, which is the centre piece of The One Below’s bar. The first in the UK and only the third in the world, this is definitely worth coming to see. The One Below is available throughout the week for private hire.

Chose two or three courses with guaranteed service within the hour. The Rutland restaurant is also available for private hire for breakfast meetings, subject to availability.

DIRECTIONS
Getting there from the Information Centre:

From the Tourist Information Centre, go left onto Princes Street towards the west end and turn left into Lothian Road, Take the next right by the Caledonian Hotel follow the road around, on the corner on the right hand side is the Rutland Hotel.

Getting There by Car:
At the end of the M8 motorway join the A8 and follow the signs for Edinburgh city centre. On approaching Princes Street turn right at the traffic lights on to Lothian Road, then take the first turning on the right, directly in front of the Caledonian Hilton , The Rutland hotel is on the corner on the right hand side, past the taxi rank.. The journey from Junction 1 of the M8 to the hotel usually takes around 40 minutes.

Getting There by Railway:
From Waverley Station turn right in the direction of Princes Street and then left into Princes Street towards the west end. By the church, turn left into the Lothian Road, Take the next right by the Caledonian Hotel follow the road around, on the corner on the right hand side is the Rutland Hotel.

Getting there by Aeroplane:
From Edinburgh International Airport, take the A8 east and follow the signs for Edinburgh city centre. On approaching Princes Street turn right at the traffic lights on to Lothian Road, then take the first turning on the right, directly in front of the Caledonian Hilton, The Rutland hotel is on the corner on the right hand side, past the taxi rank.

Getting There by Ferry:
From Stranraer follow A77 to Glasgow and join M77, then M8 through centre of Glasgow and continue on M8 to Edinburgh. At junction 1 of M8 take A71 into Edinburgh city centre and Dalry Road.

On reaching Haymarket follow signs for the west end of Princes Street and then turn right into Lothian Road, Take next right in front of Caledonain Hotel, follow road around, past corner on right hand side is Rutland Hotel.
