Edinburgh hotel Stay with Mother. The mother of all Mals. A short taxi ride from Waverley Station and a race across the cobbles of Leith and you see her. The very first Malmaison hotel in Scotland or anywhere else for that matter. You'll fit in well in this former house of ill-repute as you drop off your luggage and head for the bar.

A single malt shot later and you're in the luxury hotel room - a slinky affair of roll top bath meets oceanic comfy bed with views of the Leith. Mother knows best.

Malmaison Accommodation

Leith, the hedonistic home to galloping gourmets and hop heads alike. There's a room to suit all in this former Seamen's mission now turned boutique hotel. Super-slinky is the order of the day from the Wi-fi access to roll-top baths, and the flat screen TV's. Guess who put the hot into hotel?

Malmaison Edinburgh has 100 slinky rooms and rock'n'roll suites.

Suites
Life should be suite. And we know all about that. Whether you're looking for romance, indulgence, the best possible business trip, or even the perfect honeymoon abode, we have the suite for you.

Welcome to the creme de la creme of Edinburgh. Sporting views across the Union Canal in the heart of Leith. You'll find free standing, tartan roll top baths adorning these most Scottish of Scottish suites. And with super-sized beds, walk in showers and bespoke toiletries to take away begs just one question. What took you so long? You took your suite time.

Truly indulge yourself with Love Suite Love.

We have parking on-site which is complimentary.

The bar at Edinburgh Mal
Two choices. To drink alfresco or secure yourself a cosy sofa inside. Looking at the cocktail list like it's your to-do list the night begins. A - Alabama slammer. The alfresco revellers head back in around about M for Mojito, and by the time you get to T for Tom Collins it's time dine in the brasserie. A White Russian calls you as you leave the brasserie, but you kindly decline heading for the lift, thinking C for Cocoa.

The Wine Tasting Room
· The Wine Tasting Room at the Edinburgh Mal provides the perfect space to enjoy the noble vine in all its glory. You think you're a Rioja fan and would never touch an Austrian, suddenly the Chef Sommelier turns all that on its head. Sipping on a Gewürztraminer you muse on the perfect dining companion to accompany this crisp white.

The Sommelier replies the mushroom risotto, and with that you head off to make a last-minute reservation for dinner armed with your new found Austrian companion. Perfect for corporate parties and incentives and inquisitive wine lovers of all levels.

Brasserie at the Edinburgh Mal
Simple British classic dishes, uncompromising in quality, generous in portions. The menu speaks your language. Scottish through and through. Local food heroes of East Lothian we salute you. Haggis would be too obvious, so you plump for the north Atlantic cod. It would be rude not to as the boat that brought it is probably moored half a mile up from where you're sat.

The Brasserie at the Edinburgh Mal seats up to 52 people. A feast for the eyes overlooking the Port of Leith you can enjoy divine dining in style indoors or alfresco. Rich in colour and design with intimate booths and inspired artwork adorning the wall.

Gymtonic
If you can't truly enjoy yourself without a work-out, don't despair. Our gym is the perfect tonic for those whose hearts didn't beat fast enough when they sampled the brasserie, bar and extreme luxury of their rooms.
The room is perfectly kitted out with resistance and running machines, not to mention free weights. You know it'll make you feel good.

Meetings and events
The red light of this former house of ill-repute turns to go-go getter green when it comes to your business. Ensconced in a private meeting space you formulate plans for world sales domination or a cheeky face to face catch up over a dynamite glass of wine.

From the first slide to the last dram before retiring to bed, the Edinburgh Mal puts the show back into business, you're the star and it's your time to shine. The stage is set. No dramas, just pure theatre.

Weddings and Celebrations
You've got something to celebrate. You've been planning for months with military precision. But no stage for your spectacular event. Our house is your house, as they say. In more convivial circles. Whether private celebration in the Mal 4 or 5 or a full-blown hoolie in the brasserie, you only need to ask.

Every special occasion deserves a very special venue and the Mal takes that particularly delightfully baked sponge cake with honors.

Featuring super-slinky events rooms big enough for even the largest of parties to the more intimate private dining rooms catering for your nearest and dearest. If you're looking to celebrate in style then speak to our dedicated events team.

Civil Ceremonies
Every happy ending has a joyous start. Nose to nose, cheek to cheek, side by side. The secret of happy ever after begins at the Edinburgh Mal. You will look simply breathtaking. A vision surrounded by family and the very best of friends, one fabulous wave after wave of joy and utterly unforgettable moments.

You need a great stage for such theatre. Whether for a fairytale wedding, elegant civil partnership or out and out glamfest of meringue dresses, floral fancy and sharp, shiny groomsmen, the Edinburgh Mal is that stage.
Just think about the Big Day.

The ceremony is only just the start of something utterly fabulous. It's about your graceful entrance onto the imposing alfresco terrace for pre-wedding breakfast drinks surrounded by your nearest and dearest. It's about amazing dining and spectacular wines.

It's waking up in the slinkiest of suites or rooms as missus and mister - Happy ever after in Edinburgh's most stylish hotel to stay, drink and celebrate your union. Perfect for civil ceremonies, wedding receptions, blessings, hen nights, stag nights and so much more.
