Edinburgh hotelFailté to Cluaran Guest House. We are a sophisticated 4-star guesthouse set in a period building dating from the 1860s.

We are located in the famous Bruntsfield Links area of Edinburgh within close walking distance to city centre tourist attractions such as Edinburgh Castle.

Renovated when we first moved here in 1999, the house is decorated with bright harmonious colours, which has drawn much admiration from our guests, as it compliments its airy spacious interior.

Many original features have been restored to something of their former glory e.g. the stunning stained glass panel of our entrance door and sanded original floorboards.

OUR RECOMMENDED RESTAURANTS:
Creelers (Fish Restaurant) - Located in Edinburgh’s Old Town, Creelers was founded by Tim and Fran James who run it personally. Tim also looks after the Arran Smokehouse and the sourcing of the seafood sold by the restaurants.
Grainstore (Scottish Restaurant) - Provides the best of Scotland's Produce.
Amber Restaurant (Scottish Restaurant) - Amber is a traditional Scottish restaurant in Edinburgh, offering the best in regional cuisine. They bring you the finest Scottish food made from the best of ingredients, complimented by the widest selection of malt whiskies.
The Apartment (LOCAL Restaurant) - Ten years after first opening and galvanising the contemporary dining scene in Edinburgh in an impressively long heyday, the Apartment has been made over.

Aiming to craft an old-school, bohemian Parisien brasserie with a contemporary stamp, owner Malcolm Innes has taken down walls, lifted ceilings and opened up the front.

Where once there was sisal and pine, there's now oak and dark red walls, with low-hanging lamps and slow-turning fans giving the place a conspiratorial, sultry feel.
Out too have gone the skewers and beetroot pittas: now it's rustic, classical food from baked duck egg or salmon and crab rillette to various slow-cooked choices such as braised shin of beef or coq au vin.
Falko Konditormeister (LOCAL cafe).
The Olive Branch Bistro (LOCAL restaurant).
Cafe Grande (LOCAL restaurant).
David Bann (VEGETARIAN restaurant).
