The apartment has all the original wood paneling throughout, including the shutters, which gives it a lovely traditional feel. There is a good sized contemporary internal kitchen with breakfast table.

At the rear of the property are two very quiet bedrooms: the very spacious master bedroom has a super-king sized bed which can be converted to two single beds, so can become a twin room if required (request on booking) and a second double bedroom.

Getting there from the Information Centre:
From Edinburgh Tourist Information Centre at 3 Princes Street either take a taxi to Glencairn Crescent or, as Lothian Buses operate a frequent local service , take either nos. 12, 26 or 31 from the adjacent bus stop on the south side of Princes Street.
Alight at the foot of Coates Gardens (the first stop after Haymarket Railway Station). Cross Haymarket Terrace (northwards) into Coates Gardens, walk up it to the top and turn right into Glencairn Crescent. Number 14 is about halfway along.

Getting There by Car:
From the West follow signs for City centre and Haymarket Railway Station to come along Corstorphine Road, Roseburn Terrace and finally Haymarket Terrace, passing the grand sandstone building elevated in its own grounds on the left, the former Donaldson’s School for the Deaf.
At the end of these grounds turn left into Magdala Crescent, then first right into Eglinton Crescent. Just before the T-junction and traffic lights, turn sharp right into Glencairn Crescent.

From the City Centre head west towards Glasgow, Edinburgh Airport and the Zoo. On approach to Haymarket Station turn right (northwards) at the traffic lights on to Palmerston Place. At the next set of traffic lights turn left into Glencairn Crescent. Number 14 is halfway along.

Getting There by Railway:
From Waverley Station take any train heading West that stops at Haymarket, which is the first station after Waverley. Cross Haymarket Terrace (northwards) at the traffic lights and turn right (eastwards) for a very short distance and turn left up Grosvenor Street.
At the T-junction turn right into Landsdowne Crescent to Palmerston Place when you turn left (northwards) and at the traffic lights turn left into Glencairn Crescent. Number 14 is about halfway along.

Getting there by Aeroplane:
Official taxi from airport to 14 Glencairn Crescent.
Airport Express Bus - every 15 minutes from 0650 to 2140.

Alight at Haymarket Railway Station, walk in the direction of the coach (eastwards) and turn left into Grosvenor Street.
At the T-junction turn right into Landsdowne Crescent to Palmerston Place when you turn left (northwards) and at the traffic lights turn left into Glencairn Crescent. Number 14 is about halfway along.
