Our Restaurant
Restaurant at the Bonham is a destination in its own right, renowned well beyond Scotland. And our events spaces are flexible enough to work for private dining, cocktail parties, small weddings or meetings.

The food at Restaurant at the Bonham in Edinburgh is rooted in the French tradition and given zest with expertly sourced, seasonal Scottish produce. Our chef, Michel Bouyer, has been awarded two coveted AA rosettes for the restaurant, in recognition of his creative flair and the skilful way in which he has reinterpreted classic French cooking using Scotland's abundant natural larder.

The hotel also has an excellent, well-edited wine list to complement what Michel produces from the kitchen.
Restaurant at the Bonham is characterized by sophisticated urban styling which we think you will love, whether it's business or pleasure that brings you here or to the Bonham Hotel.

Aside from some striking and dramatic art work by Tilo Stengel, we've designed the restaurant to be cool and minimal so that you can focus on the food, the company and the occasion.

Frenchman Michel Bouyer has been delighting visitors to Restaurant at the Bonham since he took charge of the kitchen in 2001. Originally from Brittany, Michel previously worked at the Michelin-starred Jules Verne restaurant at the Eiffel Tower and at L'Auberge in Edinburgh. He also spent time in charge of the kitchens at The Howard, sister hotel to The Bonham in Edinburgh.

In terms of culinary style, Michel has fused his knowledge of traditional Breton cooking with the skills he honed in Paris, and brings both to bear on the preparation of fine, fresh Scottish ingredients. The result is a repertoire of modern classic dishes which never fail to impress and have helped to make Restaurant at The Bonham a destination in its own right.

Michel has justifiably earned Restaurant at The Bonham two coveted AA rosettes and a very loyal Scottish and international following.
