Edinburgh hotelWe are very much a family run business and have worked hard to establish a warm and welcoming environment for our guests, endeavouring to ensure that they will want to return to visit us again and again.

A warm welcome awaits you at Airdenair!

Airdenair Guest House Accommodation

We have five traditionally attractive en-suite guest rooms offering a range of home comforts including: central heating, spacious shower, toilet and wash hand basin, television, tea and coffee making facilities. A hairdryer, iron and ironing board are also available on request.

All of our rooms are located on the second floor and we are a non-smoking guest house.

About us:
"Airdenair", the Gaelic name for "floating air", is a Victorian double upper flatted villa built in 1860 and established as a business in 1983 by the current proprietors Jill and Douglas McLennan and family.

We offer a freshly cooked "Full Scottish Breakfast" or a lighter continental menu that also includes homemade scones. There is unrestricted street parking available for our guests.

Airdenair is situated in a quiet residential area about 1 mile (1.5km) from the city centre with an excellent bus service from Dalkeith Road.

There are fabulous views of Arthur's Seat, Salisbury Crags, Blackford and the Pentlands.

We are close to Holyrood Park and facilities for Golf and Tennis are nearby. Also close by is Edinburgh's famous Commonwealth swimming pool and the new Scottish Parliament.

Please ask us for more information about booking local golf courses and tennis courts.

The local shops include a hairdresser & beauty salon, chemist, post office and a bookshop. There is a good selection of local restaurants which includes the New Bell and traditional pubs.
