Ailsa Craig Hotel Accommodation

Ailsa Craig Hotel is situated in a fully refurbished, Georgian-period townhouse, retaining a number of original design features, with a total of 17 rooms.

Choose from a range of en suite single, double, triple and quad options, all equipped with heating, hair dryer, coffee / tea making facilities, TV, telephone, room service menu, local information guide and Wi Fi internet. Iron and ironing board available on request.

Most of the hotel's rooms provide panoramic views over Royal Terrace gardens and out to the Firth of Forth, or the peace and tranquility of our private gardens to the rear.

Free Wi-Fi access within the hotel is available as an additional convenience to the business or leisure traveller.

The Reception is available to our guests 24hrs a day. Our professional team of staff are happy to help in any way they can. You can enquire about local events, attractions and excursions at our reception, who can also help with your transport needs.

History of the Ailsa Craig
Originally a traditional Georgian family townhouse designed by the renowned architect William Playfair, built in 1820, the Ailsa Craig Hotel, number 24 Royal Terrace, is situated in a quiet tree-lined terrace in the city centre.
The Hotel has been tastefully refurbished throughout whilst retaining many of the original fine architectural features.

If wishing to travel from the airport by bus then you can take the No. 100 Express Service which runs every 25 min's from outside the airport terminal. This bus will drop you at the Waverlay Train Station and to reach the hotel simply follow the directions below

1. Head south on Gogar Bridge Rd, 0.3 miles.
2. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto E Field Ave, 0.2 miles.
3. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Eastfield Rd Go through 1 roundabout, 0.5 miles.
4. Take the ramp onto Glasgow Rd/A8, 1.7 miles.
5. Slight left onto Glasgow Rd, 197 ft.
6. Turn left onto Maybury Rd/A902 Go through 1 roundabout, 1.5 miles.
7. Continue onto Queensferry Rd/A90 Continue to follow A90, 1.9 miles.
8. Turn left onto Telford Rd/A902, 1.2 miles.
9. At Crewe Toll, take the 3rd exit onto Ferry Rd/A902, 1.1 miles.
10. Turn right onto Inverleith Row/B901 Continue to follow B901Go through 1 roundabout, 1.4 miles.
11. At Picardy Place Roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Leith Walk/A900, 0.1 miles.
12. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto London Rd/B1350, 256 ft.
13. Turn right onto Royal Terrace, 89 ft.
14. Turn left to stay on Royal Terrace, 0.2 miles.
