Dunvegan hotelThe OId Byre is located in the crofting township of Ose on the beautiful North West Skye coast on the Sligachan to Dunvegan road.

The Old Byre Accommodation

The accommodation comprises a suite of two quality spacious bedrooms in a self-contained wing of the house with independent access.

Ideal for families or parties of friends. Each room has a double and single bed.
Rooms can also be booked separately.

The ground floor bedroom has an ensuite and cloak lobby and the second bedroom has a shared bathroom. There is a cosy guest lounge with log fire, TV, books, etc. and a separate dining room adjacent. Visitors can also relax in the quiet of our large garden setting with the variety of bird life.

There are beautiful walks through the Glen of Ose or take a short walk down to the shore of Loch Bracadale with its sandy/shingle beach at low tide and many rock pools to explore. Seals can often be spotted here basking on the rocks. The area is ideal for walking, climbing, fishing, bird watching, sailing, cycling and pony trekking.

There are excellent restaurants close by.

- Tourist Information Centre, shops, garages, restaurants, hotels, historic Dunvegan Castle (seat of the Clan MacLeod) and gardens, seal boat trips, coral beaches
- Struan - shop, Post Office/filling station, Cioch Direct (outdoor leisure wear), ancient Broch of Dun Beag Edinbane - restaurants and Pottery
- Glen Brittle (20 minutes away) for walkers/mountaineers.
· To the North are the Macleod Tables, flat-topped mountains which dominate the area
· Portree (20 minute drive away) Tourist Information Centre.

The Old Byre is a converted crofthouse standing in its own grounds built in the 1800s. To find us from the Skye Bridge, or the ferries, proceed North through Broadford on the A87 then at Sligachan take the A863 to Dunvegan road.
Continue to Struan then a further 3 miles arrive at Ose.
We are on the right about 200 metres past the Ose River, set back from the road.

Getting there from the Information Centre:
From Dunvegan TIC take A863 going south from Dunvegan. Property is 7 miles down this road.
