Dunfermline hotelGrange Farmhouse is set in farm land one mile south of Dunfermline with an open outlook towards the River Forth.

Originally the site was settled as a 'ferm toun' which probably supplied farm produce to the monks of Dunfermline Abbey back in the 12th and 13th century.

The house was built in the 19th century and ceased to be part of a working farm in the 1950s; it has been converted into a family home and during the last 20 years we have extended the property and redecorated the interior to a high standard of comfort and convenience.

Grange Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast Accommodation

We offer a choice of two double bedrooms, a family suite for four people and a twin bed room. All rooms are on the first floor and are accessed by stairs.

All rooms have an open outlook to the garden and the countryside beyond.

Guest Bedrooms consist of the following:
We have three rooms providing a variety of accommodation to suit your requirements.

The rooms are equipped with a hairdryer, kettle, freeview television, DVD player, DVDs, clock radio/alarm and a selection of books. Board games are available on request. Central heating is installed in the bedrooms, bathroom and en suite room.

West Wing Room:
Our largest room has a king-size bed and a cosy seating area with hospitality tray, including coffee, teas, hot chocolate, water and Scottish shortbread biscuits replenished daily.
An electric power shower, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail are present en suite with a range of toiletries and dressing gown and slippers for comfort and convenience.

Abbey Room:
So called for the view of Dunfermline and the Abbey, this is a small twin bed room adjoining the West Wing Room through a connecting door.

The two rooms together form the accommodation for a family, or group of four people, a cot is available if needed.

Heather Mixture Room:
A quiet and relaxing double room with a private bathroom next door. This room has a large book selection and a wash-hand basin en suite. The view from the window is across the garden to the fields beyond.

The private bathroom has an overbath power shower and heated towel rail etc.
Breakfast is served here in the dining room from 7am until 9am, or earlier by arrangement.

Try our red fruit compote prepared using berries picked from the garden; we also recommend a taste of honey collected by our bees.

We are close to the national motorway network: the nearest motorway is the M90 (2 miles) which provides quick access to Edinburgh (15 miles) and Perth (30 miles). Junctions with the M9 to Stirling (30 miles) and the M8 to Glasgow (45 miles) are via the A90/A8000 link road.

On arrival, our guests are invited to have a cup of tea or coffee in the conservatory and are welcome to inspect the garden at any time during your stay.
