Balnacraig Bed and Breakfast Accommodation

We offer a choice of two rooms; a twin room and a double room which may also be configured to sleep a family of four.

The Rooms:
Balnacraig offers the choice of two rooms - a double and a twin. The double room can be configured to a family room accommodating up to four people.

Each en-suite room, which is situated on the ground floor, has a LCD television and a DVD player.
A complimentary tea and coffee tray is provided along with an alarm clock, a hairdryer and ironing facilities.
A free WI-FI service is available when using your own laptop or mobile device.
The B&B is strictly no smoking.

Breakfast:

We use local farm produce, free range eggs and homemade preserves whenever possible.
Breakfast is served between 7am & 9am.

Location:
SALINE is a picturesque village dating back to the 13th century and has extensive views of the Ochil Hills. On a clear day Ben Lomond, Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle can be seen. The village has a Post Office, General Store, Church and a challenging 9 hole golf course.

Balnacraig is five minutes drive away from Knockhill Racing Circuit and is famous for hosting the British Touring Cars, the British Superbikes and many more major motoring events.

Sitting a few miles from Saline is Lathalmond Bus Museum which is open every Sunday from Easter to October. The museum is home to 200 buses, many of which have been fully restored.

DUNFERMLINE is our closest city with over 900 years of Scottish history. It is the last resting place of many Scottish kings and queens and King Robert the Bruce is buried in Dunfermline Abbey.

Andrew Carnegie’s birthplace and museum, Abbots House and Pittencrieff Park are well worth a visit. Other historical interests nearby include the preserved village of Culross, Wallace Monument in Stirling and Edinburgh Castle.
Fife Leisure Park in Dunfermline has many eating places for families along with a ten pin bowling alley, a multi screen cinema and a large garden centre.

FALKIRK WHEEL is a 30 minute car journey away and is the only rotating boat lift in the world and will raise you in a boat from the Forth & Clyde Canal to the Union Canal.
Other attractions in the area include Sterling Mills shopping outlet and Deep Sea World where you can see the UK’s largest collection of Tiger Sharks.
Loch Leven has an excellent circuit walkway around the shore for about 8 miles with paths suitable for wheelchairs, bikes and buggies and is about 20 minutes from Balnacraig.
