Cottage is a detached, single storey cottage surrounded by its own pretty,
country-cottage gardens situated in a quiet no through road on the edge
of the charming coastal village of Tongue in North West Sutherland.
Just yards from the sea and surrounded by majestic mountain ranges, awe-inspiring beaches and pretty harbour villages, the cottage provides an ideal base from which to explore this wonderful and totally unspoilt region.
The property has two good-sized bedrooms, an attractive lounge, well-equipped kitchen, separate dining room and a modern bathroom. The cottage has been recently modernised and is bright, welcoming and well-presented throughout. Perched on a promontory overlooking the magnificent Kyle of Tongue, the village enjoys spectacular views across the sea, with the mountains of Ben Hope and Ben Loyal in the distance.
It has a good selection of local amenities including a general store, two hotels with restaurants, post office, petrol station, craft shops and village church. There is a slipway and harbour for small boats within a mile of the property. Horse riding is available at nearby Torrisdale sands. The area is renowned for its loch, river and sea fishing. Permits are available locally for salmon, sea trout and brown trout and boats are also available to hire.
