Glen Rowan Guest House Accommodation

Bedrooms:
We have three good-sized bedrooms all with comfortable beds.
All bedrooms enjoy an open aspect with the king-sized having a view to the rear garden and beyond.
All bedrooms are fully en-suite. All have tea and coffee making facilities, complementary toiletries, remote control TV, hairdryer, bedside lighting, radio alarm and individually controlled heating.

Lounges:
We have two lounge areas (one overlooks the garden) for relaxation after the day's travels. Relax and plan the next day's activities or to chat, or study the wildlife on the hillside. A large amount of tourist information is provided for guests use.

Guest Dining:
Breakfast is served in the dining room overlooking the garden. We take pride in preparation and presentation of your food using quality local produce where possible. We readily cater for vegetarian diets and can accommodate other diets with a little advance notice.
All food is freshly prepared so you enjoy it at its very best. Choose from a selection of delightful breakfasts including;
Starter Table:
Porridge, Chilled Grapefruit, Chilled Prunes, Dried Fruit, Yoghurt, Cereals, Fresh Fruit, Fresh Strawberries from the garden (when available), Oatcakes and Chilled Orange Juice.
To Follow:
Tea or Coffee with Toast, Traditional Scottish Cooked Breakfast, Smoked Salmon with Scrambled Eggs, Poached or Boiled Eggs with Toast, Croissants, Haggis with Poached Egg, Pancakes and Bacon drizzled with Maple Syrup.
Packed Lunches
We have a range of packed lunches available on request.

Riverside Garden
Guests are most welcome to enjoy our large garden leading to the River Coiltie and if the weather’s good, picnic on the riverbank.
House Policies
We want everyone to fully enjoy their stay with us, so for the comfort and safety of all we operate a no smoking and no dogs policy within the house. (Assist dogs are welcome with their owners).

We are small, so we can offer a personal service with an emphasis on quality all in a most relaxed, peaceful and homely environment.

Glen Rowan is a friendly, comfortable and spacious house sitting in its own large riverside garden.
Being a small guesthouse means we really can offer guests a personal touch.

In a lovely location close to Loch Ness, yet only 20 minutes from Inverness, the capital of the Highlands, we are in the tranquil and historical village of Lewiston only one mile from the attractions of Drumnadrochit and the legendary Urquhart Castle.
Come stay at our B&B a while and explore the mystery that is Loch Ness; enjoy ‘monster hunting’... take a drive, cruise, cycle, walk or simply relax amid the most spectacular scenery in the world. There is something in the area for all ages and abilities.

Glen Rowan House sits near the foot of Glen Coiltie with the river running at the end of our large garden. Stay with us and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding countryside.

The Great Glen Walk/Cycleway passes on the opposite side of the riverbank. Walker and bikers are most welcome; we have secure storage for bikes and backpacks and can arrange a laundry/drying facility if required.
There are a good choice of restaurants close by, some of which offer a collection and drop-off service. We keep all the menus in the house and we'll happily make any reservations for you.

We can arrange many activities in the area including; horse riding, fishing, golf, shooting, boat trips and sight seeing trips.
We are in a most beautiful area even the winter months and we are only 50 minutes from Scotlands two best ski resorts, Aviemore and The Nevis Range. Who knows, if there is not snow at one, there may well be at the other. So come and see us for a sporting winter break

Directions:
Follow the tourist route on the A82 from Inverness toward Fort William for 15 miles. In Drumnadrochit continue on A82 for 1 mile to Lewiston. Turn right immediately after the ESSO fuel station, Glen Rowan is 600 Yards on the left.
From the Great Glen Way or Fort William, follow the A82 for Inverness until you cross the Borlum Bridge and turn first left into West Lewiston. If you pass the ESSO Garage on your left, you have gone too far. Go back and turn first right.
Lewiston sits at the foot of Glen Coiltie close to the sheltered Urquhart Bay.
Glen Rowan House is a riverside home set in the small tranquil and historical village of Lewiston within easy walking distance of Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle. Drumnadrochit and the surrounding area has many tourist attractions and activities.
