With easy access to all that is unique and special in the Highlands, plus a location less than a mile from Drumnadrochit and its many visitor features, we are ideally situated to meet all your needs.

As you will have seen, ‘Cruachan’ is a traditional stone built house of character. All rooms have the generous proportions common to older properties.

Cruachan Bed and Breakfast Accommodation

These have been combined with modern conveniences, but in such a way as not to detract from the impact of the attractive original features.
All our guest rooms benefit from splendid South facing views across Glen Urquhart, and why not join us in the Sunroom to relax after a day exploring the Highlands?

Your Private Bathroom includes a Corner Bath for a leisurely soak with additional full mains water pressure thermostatic shower over for those who prefer the quicker refreshing option.
Please note that your bathroom is literally two steps from your door and, for your additional comfort, bathrobes are provided.

‘Heather’ Twin Room with Ensuite Shower:
With a view to the East towards Loch Ness as well as to the South, ‘Heather’, we are sure you will agree, provides very comfortable and well appointed accommodation. The shower enclosure is again fitted with a full mains water pressure thermostatic unit providing ample hot water.

Additional facilities & information:
Each room has the following:

· facility to make a selection of hot drinks
· A small range of biscuits/cakes/sweets/fruit
· Remote control colour television WITH DVD PLAYER- and a SMALL SELECTION OF DVD’S to borrow
· Central heating plus electric fan heaters for supplementary warmth if desired
· Hairdryer
Iron and Board are available to guests on request.

Breakfast:
We appreciate that for many guests a choice of hearty breakfasts to set you up for the day is very important. That’s why, as well as offering cereals, porridge and a traditional cooked selection, you can also choose summer fruits/fruit compote, yoghurt or perhaps grilled cheese, crumpets or croissants. Whatever your choice we are sure you will find something to your taste whilst you chat with other guests at our well appointed table

We will be pleased to dry wet clothes for you should exceptional weather make this necessary!
Parking is available directly at the front of the house.
Our location means we have some steep steps up to the house. Regrettably, access to the less able is not normally practical, but please ask and we will do our best to help.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept pets.
We do not accept children under 11 years. This can be waived in special circumstances, please do ask.
We are a non-smoking establishment.

Local Visitor attractions in our part of the highlands:
Where to start, there are so many!?1 whether you are a walker, outdoor sports enthusiast, wildlife watcher, or keen on the highlands rich history, there is something for you close by.

Choose from amongst many others:
Urquhart castle, less than 3 miles, splendidly commanding the banks of loch ness on Urquhart bay.
Loch ness monster exhibitions (2) within a mile, at the entrance to the glen, alongside crafts and shopping.
Glen Affric – walk in one of the most beautiful glens in Scotland, just 14 miles away. And you can visit dog falls too!
Corrimony - bronzeage cairn and rspb reserve just 6 miles or so further up glen urquhart
Divach falls- 100ft high and only approx 4 miles
Walks and/or mountain bike rides around drumnadrochit, urquhart bay and in glen Urquhart forest. All no more than 3 miles away.
Conveniently situated less than a mile along the A831 from the main A82 running between Inverness and Fort Augustus, we’re easy to find in the small village of Milton.
