Little
Solway is a comfortable, very well equipped semi-detached cottage overlooking
the Solway Firth.
Little Solway Accommodation
The accommodation sleeps 2 and comprises four rooms off the central vestibule. It is heated by electric storage heaters, additional portable heaters are provided.
Access to the cottage from the roadside is by a short flight of steps. There is ample road parking at the front.
The sitting room has a multi fuel stove for which logs are supplied. There is a colour TV and video and DVD players and the furnishings are of a high standard.
The kitchen is equipped with a gas hob and electrical combination microwave/grill. A fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer and dish washer are installed. There is also a portable radio.
The bathroom has a toilet, bath with electric shower over, as well as an electric towel rail.
The bedroom has twin beds and there is ample storage. Duvets, of varying weights, are provided and bed linen and towels can be supplied on request, free of charge.
The entrance vestibule, with its views over the Solway to the hills of the Lake District, contains the dining area.
The garden, which is fenced, has a washing line and a secure, insulated shed. Garden furniture is provided.
Little Solway is a no smoking cottage and is let on a weekly basis all year round. Checking in is from 4.00pm Saturday and checking out at 10.00 am Saturday. Short breaks can also be arranged.
The cost of electricity is included. Pets can be accommodated by prior arrangement for which there will be a small charge.
Please note that Little Solway is the cottage to the west of the pottery.

2. 36 minutes drive from the A711, approximately 18.6 miles.

1. Head northeast on English Street/A780 towards Shakespeare Street/A781
- 167 ft.
2. Sharp right onto Shakespeare Street/A781. Continue to follow A781 -
0.3 miles.
3. Turn left onto Dockhead - 400 ft.
4. Keep right at the fork - 135 ft.
5. Turn right onto St Michael's Bridge Road/A756. Continue to follow A756
- 0.6 miles.
6. Turn left onto New Abbey Road/A710. Continue to follow A710. Destination
will be on the right - 13.6 miles.
