Set in a rural location in southwest Scotland this quiet but perfectly placed barn is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts but also a quiet getaway with spectacular panoramic views of the Galloway hills, yet minutes away from the beautiful south west coastline.

The Old Sunday School Accommodation

This two bedroom barn conversion has been finished to a very high standard and has all mod cons for modern day living, includes dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, wood burner and welcome pack. All bedding (duvets), linen, towels, logs, heating & lighting included in rates.

The Old Sunday School sleeps up to 4 people with 1 double en-suite (shower) and 1 twin bedroom, second bathroom (bath & shower) and kitchen/diner (fridge/freezer, microwave, tumble dryer, double oven). On ground floor with both bedrooms and lounge on first floor. Extras include; TV, DVD Player, Video Player, many board games, lots of books and a PS2 console with a few games.

The property is just 3 miles from both Castle Douglas and Dalbeattie, which offers plenty of choice in shops & restaurants. We are ideally situated for wildlife enthusiasts, fishing, nature & forest trails.

This is a great place for golf enthusiasts, since there are around 30 golf courses within a 60 minute drive of The Old Sunday School.

TIC Dumfries
Follow signs for Coast Road out of town centre, then take A711 to Dalbeattie. Continue through Dalbeattie and take A745 Castle Douglas for 3 miles. The Old Sunday School is situated on your left hand side at the Buittle Church signpost.

Getting There by Car:
At Dumfries take A75 bypass towards Stranraer for approx 3 miles then take A711 to Dalbeattie. Continue through Dalbeattie and take A745 to Castle Douglas for 3 miles. The Old Sunday School is situated on your left hand side at the Buittle Church signpost.

Getting There by Railway:
Dumfries Station is the nearest to The Old Sunday School. Take A711 to Dalbeattie. Continue through Dalbeattie and take A745 to Castle Douglas for 3 miles. The Old Sunday School is situated on your left hand side at the Buittle Church signpost.

Getting there by Aeroplane - Edinburgh Airport
Take M8 towards Glasgow joining A8, proceed for approx. 4 miles, take exit A725 to East Kilbride to J5 on M74 South. Follow M74 southbound for 40 miles take A701 to Dumfries.

At Dumfries take A75 bypass towards Stranraer then take A711 to Dalbeattie. Continue through Dalbeattie and take A745 Castle Douglas road for 3 miles and The Old Sunday School is situated on your left hand side at the Buittle Church signpost.

Glasgow Airport
Take M8 Glasgow city centre then continue on until M73 Carlisle, keep left, take M74 Carlisle. Follow M74 southbound for 40 miles take A701 to Dumfries. At Dumfries take A75 bypass towards Stranraer for 3 miles then take A711 to Dalbeattie. Continue through Dalbeattie and take A745 Castle Douglas road for 3 miles.

Getting There by Ferry - Stranraer Ferry
Take A75 eastbound for Dumfries. Turn off for Castle Douglas the take A745 towards Dalbeattie for 3 miles. The Old Sunday School is situated on the right hand side at the Buittle Church signpost.
