Situated within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park the Gart is an award winning peaceful and spacious mature parkland setting catering for Touring Caravans, Motorhomes and privately owned Holiday Homes, providing easy access to a wide variety of quiet footpaths, hill walks and exceptional off road cycling. Open from 1st of April to the 15th of October.

Facilities at Gart Caravan Park

This well maintained family run park offers a peaceful and relaxing environment in which to enjoy the private facilities that we offer which includes a warm welcome in our spacious reception and visitor information centre on arrival.

After check in simply select one of the generously spaced serviced pitches of your choice situated around our centrally located modern heated shower and toilet facility.

We also provide Calor gas sales, public telephone, facilities for the disabled, laundry, chemical toilet disposal points and a dog walking area.

Activities and Attractions
Once settled you can then begin to enjoy the park to its full taking advantage of its open spaces, outdoor and undercover childrens' adventure play area and free Salmon and Trout fishing on our private stretch of the river Teith.

Hill walking
The surrounding area is predominantly hilly with many interesting routes to choose from. Ben Ledi is a popular summit to climb with many others nearby. Rivers and glens - many with forestry walks and paths, provide access for low level, gently walking.

Cycling
We strongly recommend you bring your bicycles and mountain bikes with you. There a tens of miles of roads and forest tracks suitable for cycling. Consider a day out with a good picnic, your map and compass, and your camera.

Fishing
The Gart is an ideal base providing easy access to numerous burns, rivers and lochs holding a variety of course and game fish including: Salmon, Sea Trout, Trout, Pike, Perch and Char.
FREE FISHING (excluding Sundays)

To get you started, free fishing using any legitimate tackle, is available on a private stretch of the River Teith which flows along the Park boundary. Day and seasonal permits for other local waters can be obtained from the fishing tackle shop in Callander.

Golfing
Callander is central to four visitor-friendly golf clubs within 30 minutes of the Park.

Explore the Trossachs from Gart Caravan Park
The park is situated within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, a region of outstanding natural beauty where you will find “Scotland in Miniature” Mountains and glens, tumbling burns, Highland rivers and glassy lochs are plentiful together with local places of historical interest.

The breathtaking scenery of the Trossachs leaves you with lasting memories and is the landscape which inspired many poets and writers including Sir Walter Scott.

DIRECTIONS
From the south, take the M9. Near Stirling leave at Junction 10 and follow the A84 through Doune. The park is on the left, one mile before Callander town centre. From the north we are one mile south of Callander on the right.

Getting there by Aeroplane:
From Edinburgh, take the M9 leave at junction 10 and follow A84 to Callander, the park is on the left 1 mile from the town centre.
