It is also within easy driving distance of Wick, Thurso, Castle of Mey. John O’Groats and the splendour of the highland mountains and glens.

The River Brora, which is renowned as one of the best salmon fishing rivers in Scotland, flows out to sea past a picturesque little harbour. Fishing is available to the public on some parts of the river, and there are also lochs and the sea to enjoy.

Brora Golf Club boasts an 18-hole links course, designed by James Braid, with stunning views out over the beautiful beach to the north sea. The course ranks highly with golfers, and many who visit nearby Royal Dornoch also make time to play Brora.

Getting there from the Information Center
From Cunningham’s of Brora, head north on the A9 until you see a church on the left hand side. Turn left immediately after the church, into Academy Street. Number 11 is about 200m up Academy Street on the right hand side.
Getting There by Car
From Inverness, take the A9 north for about 55 miles. Once in Brora, proceed through the village, past the clock tower on your left hand side. Then, still heading north on the A9, look for a church on your left hand side. Turn left immediately after the church, into Academy Street. Number 11 is about 200m up Academy Street on the right hand side.
Getting There by Railway
From Brora Railway Station, turn right onto the A9 and head north until you see a church on the left hand side of the road. Turn left immediately after the church into Academy Street. Number 11 is about 200m up Academy Street on the right hand side.
Getting there by Aeroplane
From Inverness Airport travel to Inverness and follow the A9 north, signposted for Wick. Brora is about 55 miles north of Inverness. Once in Brora, proceed through the village, past the clock tower on your left hand side. Then, still heading north on the A9, look for a church on your left hand side. Turn left immediately after the church into Academy Street. Number 11 is about 200m up Academy Street on the right hand side.
Getting There by Ferry
From any Orkney ferry, head south towards Inverness. After about 1 hour & 25 minutes you will come to the outskirts of Brora. Now look for the Victoria Garage & fuel pumps on your right hand side. Still on your right you will see a church. Turn right immediately before the church into Academy Street. Number 11 is about 200m up Academy Street on the right hand side.
