Broadford HotelsTigh an Dochais is a contemporary bed and breakfast on the Isle of Skye designed by award winning architects Dualchas and completed at the end of 2005.

We are a Scottish Tourist Board 5 star Bed & Breakfast and can be found in Alastair Sawday's Special Places to stay - British Bed & Breakfast, The Good Hotel Guide and Scotland the Best by Peter Irvine.

Tigh an Dochais Accommodation

The house is situated by the sea with fantastic views of Broadford Bay. Admire the islands, mountains and wildlife from the floor to ceiling windows in your bedroom or from the outside deck. Relax in the first floor guest lounge with its cathedral ceiling and take in the view from 4 metres of glazing.

Bedrooms are luxuriously appointed, 2 with KingSize beds and 1 with a Super Kingsize bed that can be split to provide 2 full size single beds. All bedrooms have large ensuite bathrooms.

Breakfast is taken in the upstairs lounge at a communal table with the other guests where you can take advantage of a traditional cooked breakfast or lighter fare with homemade bread, muffins and yoghurt all whilst admiring the fantastic view.

Sausages are produced by Rachael & Keith Jackson from their own pigs on Skye, Smoked Haddock & Kippers smoked by Ian, Cheeses are made by West Highland Dairy at Achmore and Black Pudding is from Stornoway.

Your bed and breakfast is in walking distance of restaurants. However an evening meal can be taken by prior arrangement.
Stay in and admire the view or read a book from the library. Take a stroll onto the beach from the house for some beach combing or launch your kayak from the bottom of the garden. Tigh an Dochais caters for all.

Tigh an Dochais is ideally placed for touring Skye and Lochalsh. It is also ideal for walkers, being within 15 minutes drive of the Cullin and outlying hills and 20 minutes drive from the mainland Munros and hills.
Come and stay at Tigh an Dochais in our lovely home and be treated as very special house guests.
