Broadford HotelsRowan Cottage - perfectly located for exploring Skye and the mainland, with a lochside location providing sea and island views.
OPEN ALL YEAR. Dogs welcome.

Come and enjoy a relaxing holiday at cosy Rowan Cottage, enjoying an idyllic location by the sea with uninterrupted views over the Inner Sound to the Isle of Scalpay.

Although retaining original features such as the natural stone gable end wall in the lounge, Rowan Cottage has been skillfully modernised to include UPVC double glazed doors and windows, gas central heating and tasteful interior décor.

Rowan Cottage Accommodation

There is a large modern kitchen and bathroom, a double bedroom, a twin bedded room and a cosy lounge/dining room where you can curl up on the sofa in front of the crackling wood burner if the evening is chilly.

Rowan Cottage is fully equipped for parties of up to four people. There are two bedrooms - one a double, the other with twin beds.

The cottage is fully detached, and stands close to the sea shore in the township of Strollamus, 11 miles from the Skye Bridge and 3½ miles north west of Broadford.

The original stone built cottage has been sensitively extended so as to retain its original character. Now, in addition to exposed stone walls and v-groove panelling, there is full double glazing and gas fired central heating by radiators in every room.

When you sit in the spacious lounge/dining room, you are in what was once the entire cottage. Warm your toes in front of the multi fuel stove which stands in the original stone fireplace.

Both bedrooms are on the ground floor at the back of the cottage and share the wonderful peaceful view over Loch na Cairidh to the uninhabited Isle of Scalpay with the mainland mountains in the distance.

In the spacious kitchen you will find a gas cooker, two-door fridge/freezer and microwave oven as well as an automatic washing machine and tumble dryer.
The bathroom has an over bath electric shower.

Off road parking is available for up to three cars and to the rear is a garden and patio where guests may relax and enjoy the stunning views.

Beautiful scenery is in abundance and there are numerous interesting places to visit in the area to include the jagged Cuillin range for walkers and climbers and the Sleat peninsula - the 'Garden of Skye' to the south, with its ruined castles and lighthouses.

Broadford is the main centre in south east Skye and home to a number of tourist attractions and well as offering shops, public transport, boat trips, restaurants and pubs.

Location:
Formerly a Cottar's cottage, Rowan is located three miles from Broadford and 20 minutes drive from the Skye Bridge, making it an ideal base for exploring the isle of Skye or the mainland.

The cottage is slightly set back from A87, immediately adjacent to The Skye Boat Centre. Portree, the "capital" of Skye, is a further 22 miles to the north.
