Braemar HotelsCraiglea bed & breakfast lies on a quiet lane close to the center of the village of Braemar. Surrounded by mountains, rivers, woodland, castles, whisky distilleries and with wildlife a plenty, Craiglea and Braemar has something for everyone.

Craiglea is a spacious, warm, friendly, family run bed & breakfast in the heart of Royal Deeside. They are situated in a quiet location, just a few hundred meters from Braemar’s restaurants and shops.

They have 6 spacious, comfortable en-suite rooms all equipped with LCD colour tv, hospitality tray, hairdryer and tourist information.

They are ideally situated for walking, cycling, golf, skiing, shooting, fishing and of course sightseeing. Braemar has some of the finest mountain scenery anywhere in the country. They also provide private parking, and a drying room with boot dryer for outdoor clothing. Children are welcome. A cot and a high chair are available.

Craiglea Accommodation

Your hosts Dave, Angela & family welcome you to their home Craiglea bed & breakfast which they have owned since 2003. They have 3 double rooms, 2 twin rooms and a family room. All rooms boast en-suite facilities, tea and coffee hospitality tray, television, radio alarm, hairdryer, toiletries and tourist information. One of the spacious double rooms has a large corner bath. All rooms are light and airy and offer superb views of Braemar and the surrounding countryside. Extra beds are available for groups or families.They offer a substantial full English breakfast or Continental breakfast which is included in the price. Vegetarian and coeliac options are available on request.
A drying room is available for outdoor clothing and a boot dryer after a day out in the hills. Craiglea Bed & Breakfast operates a strict no smoking policy throughout.

Directions from Inverness:From Inverness bear south on the A9 signposted Aviemore. By Carrbridge turn left onto the A938 and head into Grantown on Spey. At Grantown turn right onto the A939 and follow this road through Tomintoul and Cock Bridge into Ballater. Almost at Ballater turn right onto the A93 signposted Braemar. Once in Braemar take the 2nd left up Hillside Road ( St Margaret's church is on your right going up the hill ). Craiglea is on the left hand corner 100 yards up Hillside Road.

Directions from Glasgow: From Glasgow head East on the M8 turning off at junction 13 onto the M80, signposted Stirling and Cumbernauld. Follow the M80 until it merges with North bound M9 just outside Stirling. M9 North turns into the A9 outside Perth. Once in Perth follow the signs for Blairgowrie and the A93. Follow the A93 up and past the Glenshee ski center dropping down to Braemar on the far side. Once in Braemar take a right up Hillside Road ( St Margaret's church is on your right going up the hill ). Craiglea is on the left hand corner 100 yards up Hillside Road.

Directions from Edinburgh: From Edinburgh head North on the A90 across the Forth Road Bridge. The A90 turns into the M90 which should be followed to Perth coming off at junction 11 onto the A93. Follow the signs for Blairgowrie. Follow the A93 up and past the Glenshee ski center dropping down to Braemar on the far side. Once in Braemar take a right up Hillside Road ( St Margaret's church is on your right going up the hill ). Craiglea is on the left hand corner 100 yards up Hillside Road.

Directions form Aberdeen: From Aberdeen follow the signs labelled "Deeside" and A93. Follow the A93 through Banchory, Aboyne, and Ballater until you reach Braemar. Once in Braemar take the 2nd left up Hillside Road ( St Margaret's church is on your right going up the hill ). Craiglea is on the left hand corner 100 yards up Hillside Road
