This spacious country cottage is in a sheltered position down a private road midway between Loch Clunie and Loch Drumellie (also known as Marlee).

It is well equipped, has an enclosed garden with garden furniture and BBQ, and ample parking space.

The Bothy Accommodation

The cottage is ideal for family holidays or 2 couples sharing and short breaks are offered low season.
Accommodation comprises a large L-shaped lounge with open fire and dining area, 2 large bedrooms, bathroom with bath and shower cubicle, kitchen and separate cloakroom.

The cottage is decorated to a high standard, is fully carpeted, double glazed and has night storage heaters.
A starter pack of coal is provided and more can be purchased.
A cot and high chair are available and there is storage for bikes and other equipment. The cottage is non-smoking and a well behaved pet is welcome by arrangement.

Sited amidst woods and farmland on the banks of the River Lunan between Dunkeld and Blairgowrie, it has lovely views and is an ideal centre for touring, golf, walking, skiing, pony trekking, ornothology and country sports. Adjacent to Newmill farmhouse and an old watermill which incorporates an eel trap, the cottage is surrounded by wildlife including deer, red squirrels, otters and ospreys.

- Plenty of space in the spacious double bedroom with fresh pine furniture. Large built in wardrobes.
- Wildlife abounds!
Red Squirrel, deer, osprey often seen from the cottage. Otters are also around and there is a great variety of birdlife.

The River Tay is only a 10 minutes drive away and the Cateran trail and Athol estates provide superb walking. Loch of Lowes nature reserve is just along the road and is a great place to view osprey, red squirrel, woodpecker, and numerous other birds.

The Highlands, Glens and Fife and Angus coasts are less than 1 hour drive away, and famous Castles, such as Glamis Castle and Scone Palace, and Big Trees such as the Birnam Oak are easily accessed.

Golf courses are numerous, the nearest being the famous Rosemount course in Blairgowrie, with others at Dunkeld and Alyth. Angling is plentiful with something to please all kinds of fisherman.

Blairgowrie, 3 miles away, an attractive small town on the banks of the River Ericht offers good shopping, a variety of places to eat out and entertainment.
Dunkeld, a scenic village, is 9 miles away and also offers good small shops and places to eat. Larger towns of Perth and Dundee are both within easy reach.

Getting there from the Information Centre:
From Blairgowrie centre follow A923 towards Dunkeld for 3 miles. Passing Kinloch House hotel on right, the road bears sharp left,then sharp right and the road to Newmill is immediately on the left. Sign at the top of the track NEWMILL.

Getting There by Car:
Situated on the south of the A923 Blairgowrie to Dunkeld road, 3 miles from Blairgowrie, 9 miles from Dunkeld. Easily accessed from the A9 Perth to Inverness road, exiting at slip road to Dunkeld, through Dunkeld, and out on the A923 to Blairgowrie.

Getting There by Railway:
Nearest railway station is Perth, or Dunkeld if it is a train that stops there. Dundee is the next nearest. Directions from there on request.
Getting there by Aeroplane
Nearest airports are Glasgow or Edinburgh. Please ask for directions.
